looks like it may have reinstalled whatever AndroidOS came with the phone (if not installed another one entirely). And I may have 'lost' all of my previously installed apps, my text messages, and whatever else if anything.

Is there any way for me to reroll what I had before at this point? Happened about a week ago. If I'm right, last thing I remember I clicked on was something about booting into TWRP, and boom, a 'new' OS like 5 minutes later.

I'm trying to recover the photos that were lost after a Sprint update. I lost 350 photos.

My Samsung Galaxy Alpha (Lollipop 5.0.2) screen always goes black during a call. I often have conference calls with the speaker on, I rarely actually hold the phone up to my ear. When the call starts, the screen almost immediately goes dark and I have to tap it every couple of seconds to keep it on. I like to use my phone frequently when on calls and like to see the time, notification bar etc. without having to tap every couple seconds. I wouldn't care about this if I weren't on work calls for 6 hours out of every day.

I've tried apps with no luck (the best was 'Screen On' but it doesn't work for this purpose). My phone isn't rooted but debating looking into rooting if it can fix this error.

My settings do not give the option to 'turn off proximity sensor' so I am stuck with this issue. Short of just buying a new phone, does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

I have just got the above mentioned tablet by it is so far a bad experience.

If i hit the Ctrl button, it automatically highlights A,Z,X,C,V,Y buttons. It is a new tablet and i was wondering if this is a fault as am about calling EE to have this changed. Any advise will be appreciated

I have gotten used to using the S-Pen instead of my finger over the last year & a half. Thing that drives me batty about it still, is having the hand-writing edit mode pop up when I'm just trying to move the cursor back to beginning to make edits! Haven't yet managed to find a way to turn that off.

The touch screen works. There is no damage to the phone. Screen looks brand new.

The fall was about 4-5ft and it had a case on it.

If I hit the power button and swipe out of the lock screen I can turn the volume up and down so I know the touch screen is working.

What could fix this issue? Im wondering if a cable got knocked loose or if I should send it to Samsung. They said it was under warranty still but im sure they would classify it as accidental damage.

Hi guys, just signed up and making my first posting here. I've been reading on this site and others for hours and days and it's making my head spin... i think there are simpler answers to what i'm looking for, than what i'm finding.

My plan is a nationwide talk share 700. I have 2 basic phones, out of contract and they state "eligible for upgrade." I have the UDP line (currently shows as a Mifi device) which offers "upgrade at retail price," and says an upgrade will be available 10/5 (when the contract expires).

The ONLY thing i am interested in doing is extending the contract, preferably for another 2 years, in the simplest way possible. If i get a new phone in the process, so be it. I will consider keeping or selling it, as works out best. But first things first: how do i extend the contract before it's up?

I don't know how those plans will affect my plan overall (does it actually reduce my minutes to 100 per month?) or even if they are still available.

In keeping with simplicity, would it work to simply call and ask, and be straight with them - i simply want to extend my contract to lock things in as they are? I am not asking for a subsidized phone in return, doesn't seem undoable on their end (in my imagination anyway).

PS i couldn't figure out how to post this directly in the category of carrier discussion-US carriers-verizon, how should i have done that? All i could see was "ask a question."

Is this a normal battery drain for the S7 Edge? I just got this phone a week ago.

I went to bed a little before 11 pm with 91% battery life. I then woke up at 5:30 am with 84% battery life. I've been at work all day and it is almost 3:30 pm and I have 19% battery life left. I did very minimal use on my phone today. I did some minor web browsing and played Pokemon Go for about 5 minutes. And other than that I just did some settings tweaking and left my phone in my pocket. I have AOD off, wifi off, gps off, bluetooth off.

This is a Sprint Galaxy S6. I had an update on Saturday night. Since then, any event that I have created in my calendar will notify me as usual but rather than waiting until I dismiss the event on my own the phone will clear the event on its own. Sometimes after 5 minutes. Sometimes after an hour. I've looked all through settings but don't see anything. Any suggestions?

I received my phone back from repair, the motherboard was replaced due to the boot loop issue.

Restored app settings, then restored from a backup via LG Bridge.

Notifications are on in the individual apps, and I can't see any problems in the phone settings.

Do Not Disturb is off.

I tried setting some apps to priority notifications but this didn't work either.

The software is up to date.

The notifications from the Google Play store are showing up OK.

I put my phone with sound activation to speak with each thing that comes in and now I can't get to settings to turn it off any suggestions?
