Hi everyone,

I recently noticed that I cannot search for an app my list of apps. This is really annoying since I use this feature all the time. Any idea if it is an option somewhere that I messed with by mistake or if it is a bug, if there's any way to fix it?

I am talking about the search bar that is at the top of the scroll page listing all the apps on my phone. I used to be able to enter the name of an app to filter the list of apps, now as you can see it doesn't do anything when I type.

I have a Nexus 6P with Android 6.0.1 and the latest security update (August 5).

I have an email address that forwards certain messages to my phone as a text. I've set the email address as a contact and set it's Message Tone field to a specific tone. However, whenever a text comes through from this contact, the selected tone does not play.

Has anyone been able to accomplish this?

Looking for some new options for cases for your S6 Edge Plus? Check out everything available for the Note 7. I just received a note 7 case today and out of curiosity, tried it on the S6 Edge Plus. It is a perfect fit in all dimensions. Even all of the openings are perfect for the Edge Plus, that means the camera is in the exact same spot, the power button and volume controls are all perfect for the openings on the case, even the bottom ports. There's obviously an extra hole for an S Pen, but if you don't mind that, the case is absolutely perfect fit.

If you're still curious about the size of the Note 7, here's a way for you to see what size it is, provided you have access to the Galaxy S6 Edge +. In short, it is nearly the exact size in all dimensions. How do I know? I still have an S6 Edge + that I had to stop using because I broke the slot for the SIM card so I just occasionally use it as an internet device. Today I received my first case for the Note 7, and out of curiosity, put the S6 Edge+ in it. It is so perfect of a fit that you would think the case was for this device. Even the camera opening is in the exact right position and almost all of the ports are as well. Even the freaking power button and volume keys are in the exact right positions for the slots on this note 7 case! The only exception is that the headphone jack is a fraction of a millimeter off, so you have to do a little bit of wiggling to get the Jack into the hole, but even there, it's doable, because the openings are so close to perfect.

I am testing ReSound hearing aids and I want to send stereo music from my CD player via Bluetooth to a Galaxy 7 phone, and listen to it via my hearing aids. The iPhone 5S cannot receive via blue-tooth - can the Galaxy?

On the video player that came with my galaxy s3 I could play a video and when I paused the video and touched the screen a small camera appeared with two arrows next to it, left and right. You touch a arrow and it would advance video frame by frame then when you got to the spot you wanted you touch the camera and it took the picture. When I first got the phone it didn't have that feature then it just popped up one day and it was very cool. I guess it came as part of another app. I don't know but it's gone from my phone now. I've tried other "Video to picture" from the play store, but they didn't do frame by frame.

I am switching over to a Note 7 which will be my first Android phone. Do I have to worry about buying an official samsung charging cable like I do with apple? I would get charging problems all the time and a message that said to use original cable or something like that.

If not, can someone recommend a good brand USB charging cable. I'd like to get a standard one and USB-cto USB -c cable. Also a recommendation for a fast charging car charger that will accept the USB-c in it would be appreciated.
