What happened to the 42mm options on Motorola site?

Posted: 18 Aug 2016 02:02 PM PDT

Have been toying with the idea for a while of picking up a Moto 360 second gen. Need a womens 42mm. Played around on Moto maker a number of times to decide how I wanted mine customized. Go back to website 2 days ago and now the ONLY option to buy direct from Motorola is mens silver 46mm... what the heck? All it says is: Only available in popular men's 46 mm styles, for a limited time. Check again soon for more men's and women's styles.

Tried customer service and got no where (big surprise). all they would say was "we are upgrading our website to better meet the needs of our customers". I asked point blank if the 42mm was going to be available again and got the same line, then was told I could buy it at local retailers. When I said that I wanted it customized and will that be available again? I only got the party line about upgrading the website and check back again!

Anyone know anything? Do I wait it out? hope they add them back on line or am SOL?

Thanks!!

Lg g3 wont turn on

Posted: 18 Aug 2016 02:02 PM PDT

PLEASE HELP
I've tried all the obvious: Charging for a long time; not charging for a while; taking the battery out and inserting it; taking the battery out for a long time; try volume down & power; tried holding power, etc.
Basically one night it randomly cut off on me and has yet to turn back on again. I've also tried replacing the battery and the new one didn't change anything. Sometimes when I take out the battery and put it back in I can turn it on for a second, it will show the LG logo and go to the verizon logo and cuts off, never make it past that, and this rarely even works. Please help. This has been happening for about 1 and a half weeks.
Oh, and I've also tried plugging it into my PC and nothing came up. Also tried a different charger.

Transferring iOS to Note 7

Posted: 18 Aug 2016 01:55 PM PDT

Hello everyone! Former Android user turned Iphone user coming back to Android after 5 long years. I'm interested in moving my music and whatever else I can from my iPhone. I saw a video showing how to transfer with smart switch using a usb otg cable, but before I get one of those, will the usb c to USB adapter packed with the Note 7 do the same job?
Thanks in advance!

How long can I keep my grandfathered in unlimited plan

Posted: 18 Aug 2016 01:48 PM PDT

Hi all,

After watching T-Mobile's announcement today, I fear that AT&T and Verizon may follow suit and create this ridiculous "unlimited" plan that's full of caveats.

I still have my old grandfathered in unlimited plan from 2009 and I plan to keep it until AT&T forces me to give it up. Do you guys know how long I can keep my old plan?

Bitterly disappointed

Posted: 18 Aug 2016 01:44 PM PDT

I just bought the S7 Edge a couple of days ago in Onyx Black and I have to say, this is the most beautiful, well built device I have ever had the pleasure of handling.

I was loving my experience with this phone... Until I used the camera.

I have come from the LG G4 and to say I was disappointed in the drop in camera quality from the G4 to the S7 Edge is an understatement.

This camera is terrible.

A bit of background, I am a photographer who decided to ditch my DSLR to run a project whereby I would do my photography using simply a mobile phone of any description. I started off with the phone I had at the time, the original Nexus 5. That was nothing special at best.

Then I got the LG G4 and, my word, it worked wonders. The camera app is by far the best on any phone. The camera quality was phenomenal for a mobile device albeit it rapidly declined at a higher ISO. However, a few tweaks to the shutter speed etc in manual mode and I was able to capture amazing photos.

And then came the S7 Edge. Billed as having one of, if not THE, best camera on any smartphone, I snapped it up to continue my photo project. Anyway I took it out for a spin today and I feel bitterly disappointed, more so having spent £600 on a phone that has an inferior camera. The RAW files offer some saving grace as I can manipulate the sharpening and noise removal myself but in auto mode, it is terrible in low light.

/rant over

Tl;Dr - I hate this camera :(

What is this icon on my Galaxy 7?

It's in the notification area, and it's in duplicate. I looked through the user manual but I couldn't find any reference to it. Thank you.

Text messaging issues

Posted: 18 Aug 2016 01:41 PM PDT

For almost a week now I have been having strange issues with my sms and mms messages. I can not send a sms to a recipient that I have never texted before, I can not send or receive mms messages, and last and most strange, randomly, a few of the messages I am able to send are pulling up in old threads from contacts other than the original recipient, and it is changing the name on the top (who the thread is supposed to be going to) from the name; to the number of the person associated with the old thread it is now attached to. Any thoughts, ideas or help would be appreciated. I have already called my provider (att) they did some stuff remotely and it worked at a 80% solution while on with them, but now that I'm off, it is right back to the original statement above. Phone is a galaxy S6 Active.

Installing EMUI 4.0 on Honor 5X honor kiw-l24 rooted phone

Posted: 18 Aug 2016 01:38 PM PDT

Hey Everyone,

New poster so bear with me. I rooted my Honor 5X phone via unlocking the bootloader, flashing TWRP and installing SuperSu on it. The new EMUI 4.0 update (Marshmallow) just came up on my phone. I downloaded it and rebooted my phone for it to take effect but it fails to mount on reboot and then boots right into the Teamwin TWRP recovery mode. Anyone know how I can fix this problem?

REVIEW : YCCTeam Wireless Speaker, Portable LED Color Ball

Posted: 18 Aug 2016 01:33 PM PDT

Hello guys!

Today I am here to review the YCCTeam Wireless Speaker, Portable LED Color Ball. I was contacted and asked if I would like to do a review, so of course I said yes, because reviews are what I love to do!

At first I was sceptical of this product, mainly because I had never heard of the company and the price of this Wireless Speaker is only £21.99 on Amazon UK, meaning it made me think that this speaker was going to be pretty bad. Eg : Bad sound quality, really quite, very cheap feeling etc. However, now that I actually have it in hand, it is almost the complete opposite!

The packaging this speaker arrived in was ok, nothing amazing. The plastic on the front was a bit dented in and just added to my feeling that this speaker wasn't going to be the best.

However, when I took it out the box I have to say I was surprised. It is fully plastic, not metal like its counterparts from brands like JBL or Bose, but this is only £21.99 remember. The build quality is actually top notch and feels very sturdy (I have already dropped it like careless me and there isn't a dent to be seen!). The setup process is pretty easy, just flip the ball upside down and there is a port where you can put in a micro USB, a TF card and the power switch to turn it on and off. When you turn it on, you are greeted with a voice that has a Chinese accent but is speaking English so you can understand it. Just turn on the bluetooth on your phone and connect to 'Color Ball'. Once connected the voice says that the bluetooth connection has been successful.

I have personally tested this speaker with a range of songs, such as Tsunami, Animals, No Copyright Sounds (Tobu), Galantis, Adele etc to test how the speakers handle all the different types of genres of music. It handled them really well and to my surprise, was nearly crystal clear in sound! There are two speakers, one on either side of the device. The speakers gets really loud which was a massive shock to me, so loud that I was literally forced to turn it down. It handles bass very well, which I didn't expect seeing as this thing is only £21.99 !

The speaker comes with a remote, with which you can turn the speaker on and off, change from bluetooth to aux, change the volume levels, skip/pause songs, change the brightness of the LED in the speaker, change how fast the light goes or stall it on a certain colour and you can change it so that the LED goes in time with the music, which is my personal favourite of all of them. The colours for the LED seem to be Red, Orange, Blue, Light blue, Yellow, Purple and Green which make for a really cool effect when it is changing. The light looks kind of glittery, but that must be due to the material that is under the plastic. Either way it is an awesome effect!

I can't but not recommend this speaker enough to anybody who is searching for a cheap, yet good speaker. Sure its not going to be as good as a £80 speaker, but its good enough for my needs and it gets loud enough and is clear enough for them aswell, which is very very good for the price.

Hope you enjoyed the review! Feel free to leave any comments if you have any questions/feedback! :)

Ten minutes with an AT&T Branded Note 7

Posted: 18 Aug 2016 01:29 PM PDT

And I am ready to fly over to the UK and get the Exynos version and bring it back with me. The bloatware is massive and the same Directv shade garbage is back. On the upside, AT&T got me a network unlock code immediately, so I can use it on foreign carriers right away. And the huge "N" for NFC is really distracting. I am coming from the US/NA S7 Edge Unlocked version, so none of these annoyances were on that device from minute one.

AT&T stuff aside... the screen is gorgeous, the hand feel is great (and it can be used one handed pretty easily). The blue looks really snazzy and the photos from reviews don't quite do it justice. Now that the bloatware is gone, its starting to be more usable, but the lack of an out-of-the-box update seems worrying since I had heard other AT&T Note 7's had a day one patch, but mine shows nothing.

Screw you, AT&T, but the phone itself is wonderful.

Multiple Ring settings

Posted: 18 Aug 2016 01:26 PM PDT

Hey, back when I had my BlackBerry, I could have certain contacts have their own ring setting which would override the phone setting.

For example, my phone could be set to silent, but my work would still cause my phone to ring if they called. This was easy to do on my previous phone.

Now on my S5 Neo, I am uncertain if this can be done. Any suggestions?
