I don't feel in charge of my Alcatel idol 3 running android 6.
I keep having to do things and reset settings because my phone has switched defaults or turned something off. Do others share this problem or is it me? Why must I opt out of things and allow daft permissions which get way too ambiguous in choosing what I want. It's like the voice mail/paging systems that don't have the option you want.

Gigaset tablet stuck on erasing robot for 2 days

I have a samsung galaxy S7edge on Verizon. Id like to try this phone on straight talk since I know they use verizons network for cdma. It would save me a lot of cash. I already looked up my imei number and the phone is free to sell. No black marks. So how do I go about changing this to straight talk? And if i port my number to straight talk, then decide to go back to Verizon if im not happy, is it just a matter of reinstalling verizons sim? I won't cancel my Verizon account till I'm sure I'm happy?

It used to get the case that I had to enter my pin code during boot, but lately it boots without asking me a pin. I do enter a PIN when unlocking.
Was this behaviour changed?

Something has taken over my lock screen and is putting ads there. UBER Ads, Amazon ads, etc... Now, instead of swiping up to unlock, it has me swiping to the right, and is showing various ads. How do I go about finding and getting rid of this?

I guess this is life on Android. Years and years with Blackberry and never saw anything like this. Now, less than a week on Android and already infected. Thanks for any help you Android experts can offer. I am an Android noob.

I have volume turned up. Checked ring tone in settings.
Does not ring for me to hear; caller hears 1-2 rings and it goes to voice mail. Messages can be left.

So I have a galaxy note 7. I have tried various amount of security programs over the years. On this phone I deleted/disabled Verizon security, I also tried 360. I am not sure I like it and it didn't prevent what I had hoped.

I keep getting a pop-up called something like s3.amazonez. click this and then a webpage pops up for twcable something. I just try and x out of the page. I have looked it up and heard various people saying download this app or whatever and may people saying those app are a joke.

Any ideas on keeping my phone secure. Btw it's not like I was on a Russian porn site. Although I had several sites up across chrome I was going to ESPN. And it also happens on Samsung browser. Thought about Firefox but not if I am in the same boat.

Hi all, I received a S6 and it is on firmware 5.1.1, I'm trying to update to marshmallow but everytime I go to "Software update", it just says "software is currently up to date" I have a SM-G920A. I tried using smart switch and it doesn't show the update button. There are no firmware updates for my phone on sammobile and I can't find a solution for this. Someone help me please

I own a Lg g4, bought it in november 2015 through Telenor(norwegian carrier). It is the european unlocked model LG-H815. As so many others, I had the bootloop problem and my carrier changed the motherboard, in march I believe. Over to my question, I am still only on the january security patch. I have read one place, unfornately I cannot remember where , that LG did not issue any more security updates than that for Europe. Any other Europeans or Norwegians that can chime in about their phone?

I had 500 pictures on my phone. So i moved them to my micro sd card and now none of them will open. I have tried moving them back to the phone but still won't open?
Can anyone help please?

Around a month ago my phone got extremely hot whilst wirelessly charging.
The phone then started playing up with apps not working properly. I restarted it and it became obvious the extreme heat had fried the SD card.
I took the card out and let it cool and it read some of the SD card apps.
Subsequently bought a new card and reinstalled the non phone apps. Now works OK but card takes 5 minutes to load SD based apps.
Also, phone reboots itself once a day.
Any thoughts?

im on vzw device ported to tmobile. when updates come since im not using tmobile note 7 model and using vzw note 7 on tmobile sim, wheres my updates coming from. whether OTA or download via pc or smartswitch.

im not only one on non tmobile device.

tried checking updates and returned service temp not avail''''''''i guess it means because it dont see vzw as provider no more
