Has anyone had problems with the Gear update on your smartphone? Posted: 04 Sep 2016 01:08 PM PDT I seen the update come on my phone. I did the update and low and behold, my screen on my Samsung 7 edge blinked crazy for about 10 seconds, then it straightened up. I thought it was fine, until 2 hours later while playing a game it faded to a yellow screen then to a green starRyan screen. I couldn't get it to turn off/on. The phone then showed four different screens with the correct time. It stayed this way ( 1) day until I returned it to Verizon store. They immediately ordered me a new phone. |
Phone stuck at Android 5.0 from AT&T Posted: 04 Sep 2016 01:08 PM PDT My phone was given the 6.0.1 marshmallow update but for my brother he can't find any updates past 5.0, he also has the same Galaxy S5 from AT&T. Any ideas? |
Posted: 04 Sep 2016 01:07 PM PDT Came across this article. Not sure if anyone else had a chance to read it. Samsung pulls the phones and is accepting fault with a plan in place to replace the N7. Because they didn't go through a whole bunch of steps and red tape their wrong for issue the recall? Since when is a major company help accountable for retailers not following what was advised to do? SMS from known sender showing as 'unknown sender' Posted: 04 Sep 2016 01:06 PM PDT My wife has Huawei P8 on Giffgaff UK. She had a problem with the stock messenger where some received SMS weren't being received. I therefore installed Google Messenger which seemed to fix the problem. However, since then, occasional SMS are being received, but instead of going into the conversation for that person, they're going into an 'unknown sender' thread - even through the individual messages in that thread do actually display who they came from (there's a variety of senders, all of whose messages do generally do go to the correct thread). When I check back to the stock Huawei Messenger, the messages that in Google appear in this 'unknown sender' thread don't appear at all there. Does anyone have a clue what's going on? |
my S4 Mini "finger swip" to unlock the screen is frozen. Posted: 04 Sep 2016 01:01 PM PDT My finger swipe to unlock my main screen doesn't do anything. Normally you will see your pattern as you enter the locked code then your in. Everything looks the same but when I swipe nothing happens. I've removed the battery a few times but no change. |
Need help with identify Otterbox case for S7 edge Posted: 04 Sep 2016 12:52 PM PDT Which Otterbox case for S7 edge also includes the screen protector? I have one for the S5 now but can't seem to figure out which Otterbox based either Otterbox or Verizon website. It has 2 pieces (front and back) and they snap together. Please let me know. Thanks. |
Any experiences using a Huawei Watch with the HTC 10? Posted: 04 Sep 2016 12:45 PM PDT Tomorrow I am getting a Huawei Watch and I am excited about it. I am also a bit worried about some things and I would like to know what others have experienced so far:
Thanks! |
I cannot adjust my phone's (LG G4) brightness Posted: 04 Sep 2016 12:43 PM PDT So this issue started yesterday my phone was on 100% brightness and then all the sudden dimmed all the way down to where I can almost not see the screen in the dark and nothing is visible in the light. I checked auto brightness and it isn't on, I also turned on auto brightness and it didn't affect anything so I turned it back off again. I then decided to reset my phone to factory settings and again nothing. I really need help. Thank you! -Nick |

Galaxy S6 getting hot near power button and sim tray Posted: 04 Sep 2016 12:25 PM PDT My galaxy S6 (duos) sometimes gets extremely hot near power button and sim tray. Is this normal and what could possibly cause this? |

Posted: 04 Sep 2016 12:17 PM PDT So far my "Android devices" amounted to an old Nexus 7 running 5.1.1 with a processor so slow its basically only good for basic games and some web surfing. That changed when I found we had some leeway on what our system was buying for us to use at work. Most people went for the iPad air 2, nice piece, but I have and iPad and one of the programs we use doesn't play well with Apple. I'm still several months out on a new phone and on the fence as to whether to stay with iPhone or jump the fence. So I decided to familiarize myself a bit with Android and requested a Pixel C instead. And I got it Friday. Fired it up and went ahead and downloaded Nougat. I was a bit nervous in the meeting where we got our devices with all those iPad boxes sitting around and a lot of "I've never heard of that" regarding my box. But I have been immensely satisfied with it since I started working with it this weekend. Its lightning quick, runs all my work stuff plus all my personal stuff. I have a week or so before my keyboard arrives :( and I want a protector for the sweet slab of black glass. Nougat has been seamless. Coming over from iOS, I can't find a single issue with it. I continue to love Google's unbloated version of Android. Can't wait to see how it runs when the keyboard arrives! I'm very much anticipating the new Pixel XL phone and please please Verizon carry it in the store!!!!!:-$ Meanwhile, I'm looking forward to getting to know this tablet and see what all it can do. PS. It was funny to see a bunch of people sporting Samsung phones receiving iPads. |
