Question about my Note 10.1 tablet's screen turnoff issues. Posted: 13 Feb 2016 01:16 PM PST I don't mean screen timeout, I mean right in the middle of doing something, usually gaming. Hitting the power button turns the screen back on, and it only happens if I've been using the tablet for a half hour or more, maybe. Only happened a couple times, but recently, prior to that, nothing's ever happened like this before. Any suggestions? |
Galaxy s4 notification sound for email, how to shut it up Posted: 13 Feb 2016 01:09 PM PST New to this phone, Galaxy S4. The notification sounds for my emails are driving me mad. How can I change the sound for emails to be different to text messages. I do not not generally check my emails on my phone, but may in the future. eryka Australia |
Posted: 13 Feb 2016 01:08 PM PST I have a 16GB micro SanDisk Ultra Plus SD card that is less than a month old. It has been working fine in my LG tablet since I purchased it. I went to add some music and photos to it through the laptop port and now all of a sudden it is gone as in. The computer cannot find the drive nor can the tablet nor my phone. I purchased the disk from target so I thought it would be reputable. How can I retrieve the items that were on there? |

Move messages from one email account to another on Galaxy S6? Posted: 13 Feb 2016 12:55 PM PST On previous Galaxy S5 I could easily move messages between my LIVE and AOL email accounts. When Move is selected on S6 only the same email account folders are there and I see no way to select the other account. How can I move messages between the two accounts on S6? |
How can I auto click "Accept" button for an open WiFi network? Posted: 13 Feb 2016 12:50 PM PST There's an open WiFi network but every hour the notification pops up with the WiFi logo and a "?", requiring me to click it. It then opens a webpage with an option button to accept their privacy policy. Is there any way to automate clicking the "ACCEPT POLICY" button inside the local webpage every time that notification appears? I can't find an app that will do it on the Play Store. Thanks in advance. |

Bluetooth headphone battery app Posted: 13 Feb 2016 12:46 PM PST As the title suggests I have a pair of Bluetooth headphones (bluebuds x) any suggestions for an app that checks the battery level? Been looking through the play store and nothing really jumps out. Thanks for suggestions. Posted via the Android Central App |
Motorola DROID3: Is there anyway to recover data on unmounted internal storage? Posted: 13 Feb 2016 12:34 PM PST Okay, I'll admit this was not the brightest thing we did as parents. But our kid got a new Wii U game and had run out of space on the hard drive. Not having a lot of cash laying around, we had this not-so-bright idea that we could use an old phone we had laying around as a powered "drive" if we threw an SD chip in it and use it until payday. We set the sucker up to be a Mass Storage Device presuming it would copy to the SD chip and happily plugged it into the Wii U. Will U was more than glad to format it and subsequently copy over all our kid's saved games freeing up enough storage to play his shiny new game. Then disaster struck. Turns out, the Mass Storage setting on the Droid 3 uses the SIM and not the SD (things that make you go WTH?)! So once the phone was disconnected from the Wii U, the phone said "there is literally nothing on the internal storage that I can read" because it's now in proprietary Nintendo-speak. No PC can see this part of the phone's memory now, either. It's as if it's blank. But we KNOW there is a ton of Wii U data there. If it had gone to the freaking SD card we would have already pulled it out and copied to the new 165 GB hard drive he has now using a USB card reader stick. But since that didn't happen...here we are. So what we have done so far is tried using Flashboot and then ADB but apparently, ADB doesn't work on this older phone. I spent the last two days getting the correct drivers which do seem to be alright now but ADB never sees a device. Further research revealed that older Motorola phones had this stuff locked down and so ADB is probably useless. Is there anything else we can do? Some sort of binary copy that can get past the fact that the phone is playing gatekeeper telling all devices that there is nothing on the internal storage now? HELP! My kid is going to kill me. |
Will the Honor 5X work on Straight Talk Wireless Posted: 13 Feb 2016 12:29 PM PST Has anyone used their Honor 5X on Straight Talk Wireless? |

How to enable USB Debugging remotely via ADB or any method? Posted: 13 Feb 2016 12:15 PM PST Hello, I've seen this question asked hundreds of times on multiple websites such as stackoverflow, xda developers and Android Central, but I have yet to see a definite clear response. Is it possible to enable USB Debugging remotely via ADB? My phone is stuck in a boot loop and none of the conventional methods (safe mode, clearing cache partition) work. I NEED to retrieve some very important data off my phone via adb pull but I can't because USB Debugging was not enabled before hand. So I have to know is it at all possible? Also if the above is not possible can I flash a custom ROM without USB Debugging AND retain all my data? Phone: Samsung Galaxy S6 with Lollipop Please try to make your response concise and if you don't know please recommend this question to someone else who may be able to assist. |
Oops, wiped my S5 by mistake yesterday Posted: 13 Feb 2016 12:09 PM PST I intended to wipe cache yesterday but instead hit volume DOWN - home - power buttons rather than volume UP - home - power and the next thing I know I saw Recovery Boot and erasing. I didn't see a menu come up so I had no idea what it was ultimately doing. I suspect it may have reloaded the ROM. Anyway, the phone was back to factory fresh after it finished and everything had to be set up and apps reloaded as if it were a new phone. Can someone tell me what happened when I hit that button sequence by mistake. I suspect that there was another menu that came up and I fat-fingered a selection and was unaware of it. If there is a menu that comes up after hitting volume down- home - power, what are the menu choices? If there isn't a menu at that point, then what does that sequence do? Al T Spokane, WA |
