Why am I getting a notification with a nut bolt opener icon Posted: 15 Sep 2016 01:51 PM PDT There is a nut bolt icon in the top left corner of my Samsung J7 screen. I would like to know what this means and whether there is something wrong or do I need to do something. I have tapped it but am not getting any information on this notification. |
Getting a replacement phone from AT&T? Posted: 15 Sep 2016 01:50 PM PDT I've seen quite a few people on forums say they had a v10 with an issue and got it replaced with another V10, and even a few times a G5 or even other flagship devices of last year. I'm curious if this is because these people have the insurance on their phone, or what. Also, how do you go about this process? I'm not specifically looking to get my v10 replaced currently, I'd rather do that through LG if possible. However, I am curious. Thanks in advance |

Galaxy Note 2 Squeal when on a call Posted: 15 Sep 2016 01:42 PM PDT Hello, During a call, I'll get a sudden very loud squeal that sounds like a fax machine. To say that it hurts the eardrums is mild. Why would the phone suddenly start to do this? It doesn't always do this, it's sporadic. AT&T pinged a diagnostic and could find nothing wrong on their end. Could it be the battery? Have been using this device for a couple of years without incident. |
Galaxy S6 Edge - Recent Apps button self pressing Posted: 15 Sep 2016 01:41 PM PDT Hello, I am reaching out to you because I would love to hear your expert opinion regarding my problem. For several months now, the button "Recent Apps" on my phone starts launching by itself, so I am not able to normally use my phone as it happens very frequently. The phone is in the Spigen Tough Armor case from the first day I bought it, it never fell down and I do take proper care of it. By the way, the phone was bought this year at Sancta Domenica store. This problem happens unexpectedly all by itself. Sometimes it also occurs that my phone goes crazy and starts launching the button "Recent Apps" so hardly that even my "Back" button freezes and stops working properly. In that case I have to lock the phone screen and then unlock it in order to make it work. After a long research on the web, I saw that this is actually a common problem and that a lot of S6 / S6 Edge users have it. Moreover, even some owners of S7 / S7 Edge have this problem. The majority of them have contacted the customer service from Samsung and they confirmed that it's a some sort of hardware issue. That's why I am reaching out to you so you can tell me what can I do. I have had this phone for less than a year, so it still has at least one year's warranty. Numerous videos regarding my problem can be seen on YouTube. I have also found out that I can cause this problem whenever I want, so that's good if I'll need to show it to someone in the phone repair center. My current problem arises if I switch or toggle between 2G and 3G to 4G network modes (and vice versa). Most of the times, however, the phone goes crazy without even touching the network settings. The same thing happens when I take off my Spigen Tough Armor phone case. It is one of the best phone cases in the world and a large majority of people who are also using it haven't encountered this problem. I have updated and restored my phone to factory settings, but the problem is still here even though I haven't downloaded any apps from Google Play store. So basically I only had the default apps from Samsung on my phone. The phone never fell down nor it got wet which can be confirmed by the moisture indicators which are still white. Also, the phone doesn't have any scratches and it is like a brand new. On the device itself I have used exclusively Samsung charger for quick charging and the original headset. The SIM card is also new since I bought it together with the device. I would love to hear your opinion. Thank you in advance! My phone model: Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge 64GB (SM-G925F) |
Transparent weather widget no longer display daily weather forcasts. Now I only get hourly reports Posted: 15 Sep 2016 01:31 PM PDT Transparent weather widget no longer display daily weather forecasts. Now I only get hourly reports. I have uninstalled the app and reinstalled. I had daily for 24 hours but it changed back to hourly. I would like to see the next 5 days forecast on my home screen. |
Galaxy s5 - Marshmallow - "Notification Panel" resets on phone restart? Posted: 15 Sep 2016 01:27 PM PDT When ever I shut my phone down or use the restart option, when the phone turns back on, my notification panel is reset to the default configuration. By notification panel I mean the bar at the top that gives you the ability to turn on wifi, GPS, Airplane Mode, etc with the click of an icon, instead of having to go into your settings and toggle these features manually. It seems like this is just one of those bugs that happens when you get a new OS, however I would like to fix it if possible. Thank you! |

System downloading 2 gigabytes through wifi? Posted: 15 Sep 2016 01:01 PM PDT I have an S7 Edge, and I love the phone, but it has never quite had as much battery as other people have had. I seem to have finally found the culprit.....for some reason the system has downloaded over 2 gigabytes of something, over wifi, throughout the day. What the heck is this? See screenshots below.... Gear S2 - Loose bezel, and clicking noise when tapped Posted: 15 Sep 2016 12:53 PM PDT Hello. I bought a Gear S2 Sport yesterday. I didn't notice anything until now. The rotating bezel of my watch feels a bit loose and when I tap on the bezel, it makes a clicking noise as if it is loose and taps on the steel below it. Is this normal or should I return my watch? Thanks |
