Issue shareing image from Gallery app to Facebook app Posted: 26 Sep 2016 02:30 PM PDT So here's my issue. I will go into the gallery app, select an image, click on the share icon and select Facebook. The Facebook app will launch and then immediately close taking me back to the Gallery app. I will open the Facebook app to see if there is a draft waiting for me to press the Post button but there is not. Is this doing the same thing for others? Trying to figure out if it's a setting on my phone or if it's the Facebook app. I tried sharing to text, email and all of the other options from the Gallery app and those work just fine. I'd prefer this method because I have quite a few pictures on my phone and if I go into Facebook and then select the camera icon to share a photo it lumps all of my images together making it hard to locate the particular picture I'm looking for. Thanks in advance for any suggestions! |
Screen Protector, Is it Needed on a Note 7 Posted: 26 Sep 2016 02:20 PM PDT Is a screen protector needed on my new Note 7? I purchased one, installed it but the phone protector I have fits snugly (INCIPIO) and the rubber edges keep wanting to lift the screen protector on the edges (even when not removed frequently). So is a protector really needed as glass is a lot more rugged these days? |

Galaxy S7 - Messages Notifications all revert to Default Notification sound. Posted: 26 Sep 2016 02:07 PM PDT On my new Galaxy S7 I have tried all available sounds for Messages Notifications, but only the Default Notification sound is ever used. Is there a fix for this? |
Posted: 26 Sep 2016 02:06 PM PDT Alright so I just switched over from an Iphone to a Galaxy S7 edge and I love it. However I made the mistake of making a pattern. I thought I knew what it was and apparently I can't remember or did it wrong. I'm trying to use the android device manager and it's not working. It keeps saying that my device is already locked so there's no need to reset the password. PLEASE HELP!! I really don't want to hard reset the phone... |
Widgets (notifications) on lockscreen Posted: 26 Sep 2016 02:02 PM PDT Anyone care to list their favorite Lockscreen to use on the S7 Edge? I'm looking for one that can handle widgets OR email/text notifications. |

Migrating from Windows Mobile ecosystem: help and how-to requested Posted: 26 Sep 2016 02:00 PM PDT Hello, Android. It's been a long time. Well, I think I'm finally throwing in the towel on the Windows Mobile platform. Don't get me wrong; I love the Microsoft stack, from top to bottom. You might even call me an evangelist. I use Outlook.com for email calendar and contacts, I use OneDrive and Visual Studio and Office365 and Xbox Live and Azure for webhosting. I've loved the ride and the cripsness of Windows 10 Mobile, but it's simply lost too many apps, and there doesn't appear to be a viable next-gen option on the horizon anyway. So, in the spirit of a smooth transition, I though I would ask for help migrating to an Android phone. In particular, I'd like to keep as many Microsoft services as I can, and I would like to move as much data as I can. I would absolutely love it if you friendly folks could provide some advice on the following topics and questions:

Gear Fit2 Is Compatible With Almost Nothing?? Posted: 26 Sep 2016 01:53 PM PDT Search as I might, it seems that none of the fitness apps I've used b4 are compatible with GF2. Only S-Health, and it pales in comparison to the others . That's pretty sad. The two biggest disappointments are the lack of compatibility with MapMyFitness and Weight Watchers.. Shame on me for not having done my homework. |
Is it possible to move my secure folder to my SD card? Posted: 26 Sep 2016 01:51 PM PDT From what I can tell, it is currently on the phone itself, but I'd like to have it on the SD card for whenever I get my replacement phone. |
how do i get my phone to start downloading pictures Posted: 26 Sep 2016 01:48 PM PDT my phone wont let me receive pictures |
Battery item is missing from Settings menu Posted: 26 Sep 2016 01:43 PM PDT The phone is a Galaxy S4 mini, unlocked from Verizon and running Android 4.4.2. Today I noticed that the Battery item no longer appears on the Settings menu. I've tried rebooting without success. Yesterday I disabled the Security Policy Updates using System App Safe Remover to stop its nagging. Could this be the problem? Unfortunately the Remover doesn't seem to be able to restore it. |
Replacement Note 7 battery life Posted: 26 Sep 2016 01:37 PM PDT It's time for me to upgrade to a new phone and I'm torn between the Note 7 and iPhone 7 plus. My biggest concern is the inconsistencies I'm seeing about the Note 7 battery. Even on here, there are threads of people loving the SOT, then a couple threads lower saying how bad it is. Same goes for the lag issue some people seem to have. I think the iPhone would actually suit my needs fine, but I have always been an android user and hate to jump ship. |
cracked screen; all replacement shops are quoting more than the phone is worth... Posted: 26 Sep 2016 01:36 PM PDT I cracked the screen on my Nexus 6, however the LCD and digitizer still work fine. Every replacement shop I have spoken with in NYC is quoting me $220-250 US to replace the entire LCD / glass screen together and won't remove and replace the glass screen alone. I paid $250 CDN ($180 US) for this phone, so spending that much on a screen replacement isn't worth it to me. I purchased a Moto X Pure for $250 today just to use as a backup. What alternatives do I have? How difficult is replacing the glass screen alone? I know its bonded to the LCD, but is it worth while to try and repair? Can anyone suggest a shop that does glass screen replacement alone in NYC? Thanks |
