Using a PC to manage your personal information isn't as easy as it should be, because there are far too many programs to choose from. In my experience most PIM products are either way too complicated, or difficult to use, or both.

Essential PIM strikes a nice balance. It's a Windows program which offers a really nice calendar, notepad and task list. There's even an email client built in, so you can use it to read and send mail. It's reminiscent of Microsoft Outlook, but is much less complex. And although it's a paid-for product, there's also a free version available that has all of the above-mentioned features in a perfectly usable form.
