Why are buttons from one of my emulators still on my screen after closing the app?

Posted: 14 Oct 2016 01:46 PM PDT

So basically, I was playing on My old boy! GB emulator (On my SGS6 Edge+), and I was finished playing. I exited the app, but now I can still faintly see the buttons still on my screen! I tried resetting, and even deleted the app. But the buttons are still there! Help!

Pixel xl dac

Posted: 14 Oct 2016 01:26 PM PDT

I was just wondering since the release of the phone is soon and I"m sure some special people have the phone, could someone write a review on how the DAC is?

If you don't know what a DAC is here is a explanation ( What is a DAC, and why should I care about having a good one? | Android Central)

The sound quality and how much power gets output from the phone is a big thing for me since I love listening to music a lot.

Anyone here from LG G5?

Posted: 14 Oct 2016 01:22 PM PDT

I'm torn a little about the G5 and HTC 10.
Bell Mobility have s special offer this weekend with the G5 at $0 and HTC for $99. (I'm not so sure the price difference means too much here in Canada as the HTC is a Bell exclusive and the G5 isn't).

Anyways, I'm a bit torn about which phone to get. Im sitting here with a HTC M8 but for the last year I've been living with a phone battery that dies at 30% which is very frustrating. This is why I've been tempted by LG as the removable batteries would mean I wouldn't have to worry about that issue if I'm still using it in 2019.

However, one glance between the HTC and G5 forums and it's easy to see that HTC phones have better build quality and less return issues than G5.

Also, many people have said G5 is blazingly fast, in fact one of the fastest phones of the year.

However, I'm a big audiophile and love the fact that the wired sound on the HTC well be one of the best out there for 2016.

Obviously, I'm going to get some biased opinions here but just would love to get some objective views on HTC 10 vs LG G5.... Would you go back to G5, is it better or worse or about the same?

Why are there 2 Pixel forums?

Posted: 14 Oct 2016 01:21 PM PDT

Since the only real difference between the Pixel and the XL is the size, does it make sense to have them as separate forums? I wonder how many conversations would be specific to the particular device. I would guess that most of what is interesting will apply to both, and it would be easier to follow as a single forum.

I humbly suggest a merge prior to launch so it is less of a mess to merge.

I get this gray bar on the top of my screen when I have a black wallpaper

I get this gray bar across the top of my screen when I have a black wallpaper
It only shows on my home, lock, and recent apps screen. It goes away when I increase the brightness but on low brightness it is highly visible. I've tried factory resetting the phone but it didn't change anything. It does not show any changes with different colored wallpaper or while using any app that has a black background. 1476476393805.jpg

What to know/do before I hard reset my M8?

Posted: 14 Oct 2016 01:15 PM PDT

I love this phone and I although I want to upgrade, I dont see anything on the market right now that I really like.

That said, my M8 is very slow in specific areas (namely name lookups in email and sms and camera). If I can get those two things sped up, id have no problem holding on to this phone for the time being.

I have tried everything under the sun to speed these things up and nothing has worked. Im thinking its time for a hard reset.

Just so I know what im doing here...what should I do/backup/know before moving forward?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Android newbie with Yoga Book looking for direction

Posted: 14 Oct 2016 01:08 PM PDT

I am an Android newbie who has had a Lenovo Yoga Book for the past week, still stumbling my way around. I have a lot of experience with Windows, MacOS, and iOS — and a little with Chromebooks (used by my students.)

I'm looking for the some ways to learn my flavor of Android – 6.01, Marshmallow I presume.

Any pointers to books, websites, podcasts, other forums, listservs, or the like that might be the best good places to learn and ask occasional questions and answer those for which I might have already discovered the answers...would be most gratefully appreciated.

Thanks!
