Problem exiting app hide screen Posted: 17 Oct 2016 01:17 PM PDT When I swipe the screen with two fingers the hide app screen appears. How do I exit this screen to return to the home screen without having to power off? I'm currently on Android 7.0. Thanks |
Posted: 17 Oct 2016 01:05 PM PDT Nexus 5 due here in a day or two - need to satisfy my curiosity with Project Fi. Someone on the 6P forum (when I planned to get one of those) suggested I let the 6P do all its updating, including to Nougat. Is this a good idea with the Nexus 5 too? |
New Photos Taken are Showing Up Blank Posted: 17 Oct 2016 01:05 PM PDT Hey there, So this seems to be an issue with my Sim Card, since the same thing happened when I changed from a Galaxy to an LG. The sim card I use is my friend's old card, and still has all of his hundreds of photos on it. However, when I take a photo using the phone, the picture saved in the gallery appears blank. I was in the habit of taking photos on snapchat and facebook and then saving them, as this was the only way to keep photos on my phone. I thought it would be fixed when I changed to a new phone, and took a bunch of photos for my sister's wedding. Now, all of my new photos appear in the gallery as a blank photo with an exclamation mark symbol. They are all here, but blank. Is there anything I can do to recover these photos on my phone or computer? Any advice helps since I was being counted on for these pictures! Thanks, Amanda |
Posted: 17 Oct 2016 01:02 PM PDT I just got an update to 1.81.531.20 on T-Mobile. It wasn't there on Friday when I checked, so it must be fairly new. Hoping it addresses my weird "calls not coming through" issue. |

Posted: 17 Oct 2016 12:55 PM PDT What's up guys? I'm Ahmad from Nigeria. A clumsy Tech Enthusiast. I got to know about Android Central through a giveaway but I don't really care if I win or not as long as I get to learn and help others here. Android Central are a cool team and I'm really happy to be part of this community. Thanks |
Is there any way of retrieving photos off of a Galaxy5 after being deleted. Posted: 17 Oct 2016 12:48 PM PDT I thought I downloaded all my photos on to my computer. I discovered the transaction was not completed after I deleted my photos. I need to try and retrieve them |
Posted: 17 Oct 2016 12:38 PM PDT Just a FYI to all. I asked ZAGG about protection for the camera lens that reportedly scratches easily. Here is their reply: I would be happy to pass this along to the suggestion list that gets sent over to corporate in hopes that we create a InvisibleShield for the Moto Z camera lens. I am sorry that we don't have one available for you right now. I would recommend contacting Best Buy, they have a universal InvisibleShield that they can cut for you in-store to fit the device/camera lens. Has anyone tried this? |
Will disabling S Voice solve my problem? Posted: 17 Oct 2016 12:31 PM PDT S Voice is continuously coming up when I don't ask for it to. It will start playing my music when It is not playing. When music is playing, it will pause it or turn the voice up and down. It will mess with my ring tone volume. I have to keep restarting my phone to get it to stop doing it so much. Can anyone help me? |
Posted: 17 Oct 2016 12:29 PM PDT Reports are that Samsung is considering on cancelling the entire Note Line? WTH? Note is a great brand, yes marred by issues with the 7, but should not be given up on. |

Nexus 5 Coaxial Socket Misshapen Posted: 17 Oct 2016 12:10 PM PDT Hi there, After installing a new battery in my Nexus 5, I noticed that the mobile data on my device was no longer working (it was showing up as 'No Service'). After taking it apart again, I realised that the black coaxial cable was not connected. However, upon trying to plug it back in, I noticed that the socket on the motherboard that it should click into was misshapen (this probably happened when I was prying off the back of the device). I've tried pushing it back into shape, but I cannot seem to get it back into a circular shape. Any help would be much appreciated. TL;DR: No service on device because black coaxial socket is misshapen. |
Posted: 17 Oct 2016 12:03 PM PDT So last time I owned an LG phone was the V10 and they had something called LG World which essentially was a theme store. The selection at that time was pretty minimal and I don't think they even had user created themes. Has this changed at all in the past year? That's one of the things I love about my S7 edge is that I have a large selection of themes I can get. I hope LG has improved upon this. |
