Where do I configure the emergency information? Posted: 24 Oct 2016 01:34 PM PDT Where in the Honor 5X settings can I configure the emergency contact information that emergency personnel might use if you are unable to supply the information because of injury? Some mobile devices show it on the lick screen. I see a "Lock screen signature" setting, but this doesn't seem the most likely place. |

Posted: 24 Oct 2016 01:21 PM PDT I recently used the Verizon upgrade I was granted (as a former Note 7 owner) on the Moto Z Force. I purchased the device from Best Buy since they were offering a $150 Best Buy gift card with the upgrade. The device will cost me $30/mth for the next 24 months on Verizon's device payment plan. I have already used a portion of the gift card to pay for the $50.12 in taxes for the new device. Afterwards, I noticed that Motorola was giving a 10% discount to students if they purchased the device directly from them. So I decided to return the device to Best Buy and order it directly from Motorola's website. NOTE: While on their website, they also applied an additional 5% promo code, bringing the total cost down to $612). This approach will also keep my upgrade from Verizon intact (just in case I want to use it for something better pops up in the future). So, here are my questions....
Thoughts? ;) |

How to get photos off Nexus 5 onto Windows 7 Posted: 24 Oct 2016 01:13 PM PDT Hi Im posting this as a new thread because I've spent quite a while trying to fix this, but the solution is quite simple. I'm in Australia. The Nexus 5 I purchased off Kogan was shipped from Hong Kong and did not come with a cable to transfer photos to my laptop. So I went to JBHiFi and purchased a Belkin USB C to USB A cable, as the shop assistant told me this was the right one. I bought it home and the photos would just not come up. At least one hour spent here and elsewhere looking for an answer and troubleshooting. Then I went back to JBHiFi to check if there were other cables. There was another USB C to USB A cable, also by Belkin, but it was $10 more expensive and is a high-speed 10 GBPS cable. In desperation I bought it for $38. Miraculously, this one is working fine and there are no issues transferring photos. So my message is: USE A HIGH-SPEED USB C - USB A CABLE The only brand in JBHiFi is Belkin. At $38, and apparently a virtually essential purchase with every Nexus 5, I would not be at all surprised if it turns out that Google Nexus is in cahoots with Belkin, or is receiving a nice little kickback for each of these cables purchased. Honestly, what a rort!!!! |
Posted: 24 Oct 2016 01:08 PM PDT I have a family share plan with verizon. What would happen if I ported one number away from Verizon? Would it affect my account at all? My monthly bill should drop by about 40.00. |

Anyone tried other camera apps? Posted: 24 Oct 2016 01:06 PM PDT Just for grins I was going to see how CameraZoomFX premium works on the honor. Proshot failed for me pretty bad (paid version) Camera FV-5 locks up my phone or crashes (paid version) Haven't tried Open Camera yet it's worked on every phone I've installed it on. Keep in mind I was just curious...the default app is pretty complete. |
S7 edge exploded within 2 weeks of normal use. Posted: 24 Oct 2016 01:05 PM PDT Just saw that a guy in us exchanged the note 7 for a s7 edge and within 2 weeks of normal use it exploded. https://www.google.com/amp/amp.timei...android-att-us Could this be real where Samsung has major issues or something seriously is wrong where someone is trying to sabotage Samsung? Thoughts? Will you be scared of your s7 edge ? |
Payment/Navigation app on Android Auto Posted: 24 Oct 2016 01:04 PM PDT Is there any apps on Android Auto platform which enables third party navigation or mobile payments? if not, is there any Google timelines for enabling this feature? |
I have problems with my Samsung K Zoom (4.4.2 KitKat) wifi connection. Posted: 24 Oct 2016 01:02 PM PDT Suddenly my phone started not to connect to wifi. When I'm near the router it connects, but link speed is about 20Mbps. So when I go to the other room I lose connection. The phone shows that signal is very strong, but because of low link speed it can't to connect. The others devices in my home works perfect, link speed about 70Mbps. The same problem in my work place with my Samsung. What can be a problem, what can depend on phone link speed? |
