Posted: 06 Dec 2016 01:18 PM PST For some reason my LG G4 does not want to connect to my computer. I have tried different cables and they all charge my phone but I cannot access any files on my phone, nor can I transfer files to my computer for my phone. I am mostly trying to transfer my old itunes library as I recently switched to andriod. Thanks in advance |
Gmail very unresponsive on Google Pixel phone (recent problem) Posted: 06 Dec 2016 01:16 PM PST I've had my Pixel phone for a month now and suddenly my Gmail app is very unresponsive. Tapping on an email in the list either does nothing or shows the tap burst animation, yet the email wont open. Eventually it will, by either luck or spamming taps on the message. I've tried "uninstalling" the app, but that just goes back to the factory version and I still have the problem. The only thing that I can think of that may have caused the recent change, is that I performed a factory reset around the same time (issues with my carrier, not the phone). Any thoughts on how to fix this? I can probably get a video of the issue later today if that helps. Thanks! |
Galaxy S5 screen flickering and goes blank Posted: 06 Dec 2016 01:13 PM PST My S5 screen flickers and goes blank. The light at top left still flashes and bottom 2 buttons light up. The screen comes back on if I warm the phone up.. ie hold phone near skin for up to 5 minutes. Done factory reset and cleared cache as advised. Any ideas? |

SOOOOOO Dropped my phone in a bucket of water................. Posted: 06 Dec 2016 12:49 PM PST I was looking for my phone. Couldn't find it anywhere. Had people text me. Couldn't hear it. Nothing. I had been working on emptying the pool cover because it has too much water on it to survive the winter. I had a bucket next to the pool. I must have bent over and my phone fell out of my pocket, and of course right into the bucket. Whole yard it could have fallen into, and NO, had to go in the bucket. It was there for over an hour before I realized where it was and found it. Happy, and quite amazed, to find it seems to be working fine. I turned it off for a bit, and dried it off good. Then took my blow drier and set it on the cool mode to dry the charging port. I turned the phone back on, and so far so good. I won't be charging it till later. Don't want to push my luck. Hoping for the best though. Amazing phone.    |

Posted: 06 Dec 2016 12:39 PM PST Hello everyone, I currently have a HTC 1 M8 which is starting to show its age, my contract is a super cheap SIM only deal so I'm looking to pick up a new phone. I was super keen on the OnePlus 3 but I was waiting for after Christmas or when the HTC actually died. I was not expecting the release of the 3T, especially not so soon after the release of the 3! Now that they have stopped making it I can only find Chinese versions of the 3 left to buy and as far as I can see from my searching online you can't unlock the LTE bands on a 3 as of yet. Now I've managed to find one 3 in an O2 store near me, unfortunately they have to set it up on a contract and then I'd pay it all off and pay a months contract, totalling £352, about £22 more expensive than the 3 originally was. The 3T from reading all the reviews is definitely better, but its marginal and not really worth the extra £70 or £110 if you go for the larger storage on top of the old one. I am concerned though that as the 3 has already been superseded by the 3T will the updates/support continue in line with the 3T? So my question is, do you think £350 is a good deal to pay for essentially an already outdated phone, would it be better to fork out the extra cash on a 3T or just hold out for something else? TL;DR, OnePlus 3 for £350, 3T for £400/£440 or something else? Cheers, Andy |
