Facebook app causing my android phone to reboot Posted: 20 Dec 2016 02:08 PM PST For the last 3 or 4 hours today (Dec 20th, 2016) when I try and open facebook on my android (Via the FB app) it causes my phone to reboot. Has never done this before, so I'm unsure why it's happening. I currently have version 106.0.0.26.68 installed and the playstore is showing no new version as available. I have an LG 870 phone. Hoping someone can help. Uninstalling and reinstalling the app hasn't helped. Of course, facebook makes it next to impossible to report a problem and actually get help with it, I mean, why should the gods speak to us worthless mortals? |
Problems connecting to home WiFi Posted: 20 Dec 2016 01:57 PM PST It used to be that when I turned on my Nexus 5 in the morning it would automatically switch onto my home wifi. It still does that sometimes but not always. Then I have to enter the password to my router and click connect. Sometimes it will then connect. Sometimes I have to repeat this process several times before it connects. It will say "saved" but forgets. The phone and I are both old so I'm tolerant of forgetting. Even more exasperating is that it will automatically connect to an HP printer somewhere in my neighborhood but not my wifi. I have tried to "forget" the printer address but it doesn't go away and I don't know how I can get rid of it. Of course, if I do connect to my wifi and leave the house it disconnects. When I return I have to go through the multiple entering of the password before I can reconnect. My isp is Comcast and the router is theirs. It was new last January so I assume it is a recent model. Android 6.01 security patch level October 5, 2016. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Eva |
Posted: 20 Dec 2016 01:51 PM PST I recently took a photo of my puppy in my living room and it came out looking darker than it really was in the room. Should I have used the Night Shot mode instead? Also, I noticed this photo looks even darker when I view it in the Photos app. I can barely see my dog. I even tried turning my screen brightness all the way up. Thanks for any suggestions. -Rich IMG_20161210_072611.jpg |
is it normal to be getting 80Mb/s down and 30Mb/s up speeds? (started only last week) Posted: 20 Dec 2016 01:47 PM PST this is not a complaint or anything... however, I'm confused by the speedtest.net results I've been getting since last week. it's been better than 80Mb/s down and 30Mb/s up consistently on my new Verizon iPhone 7. Prior to that, the best I usually get over the last couple of years have been around 30Mb/s(for both down and up). Like I said, the speed increase suddenly started last week.. What did Verizon do to bump it up so much? |
Posted: 20 Dec 2016 01:42 PM PST Hi, I have developed an app through Unity. I have the apk file but I would like to fix the app indexing. Is this possible to do it on Android Studio?I have already decompile the apk file and create a build.gradle file. When the program runs it is displayed the message "com.my_app.xxxx" not found although these are relavant with my app information. Am I doing something wrong? Help me , please! I am looking forward for your response. Thank you very much! |

Why can't I uninstall an app as system administrator Posted: 20 Dec 2016 01:28 PM PST I am trying to uninstall psafe app and cannot turn it off as a system administrator. Every time I try, I get the error msg, "unfortunately, settings has stopped", and it sets me back to the last page. (In the app mgr, the uninstall is greyed out, so it won't let me do that either.) Anyone have any advice? |
Posted: 20 Dec 2016 01:19 PM PST Anybody know how to solve Google services battery drain? Here's a list of the things I tried already: 1. Changed Location to "battery saving" mode. 2. 'Pruned' my syncing accounts by disabling unnecessary syncing. 3. Switched off or reduced email syncing times. 4. Cleared cache for frameworks and Play Services. 5. Cleared cache in recovery. 6. Switched off notifications for many apps 7. Disabled "Sign in with Google" on all apps. (Instead sign in with email). Have I missed anything else that could reduce Google Play Services battery drain...many thanks! |

[GAME][2.3+]Ball Ball-Juggle Ball 0.7.5 Posted: 20 Dec 2016 01:11 PM PST Firstly, here is the link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...hsapp.ballball Game brings a new concept to ball juggling games. In the game, every time you tap the screen, you focus on a point. By holding it, you will do more soft hits to the ball. Try to earn more gold coins and increase your score! There is a shop for new ball types, cleats and a powerup for bonus gold. Try it, I hope you won' t regret. ;) |
Running out of Storage Space - Samsung Galaxy Tab A Posted: 20 Dec 2016 01:06 PM PST Hello, android central community. I have a family member that uses a "9 inch Galaxy Tab A android tablet with 8 GB. She's used it for about a year. Overtime, the storage has gotten nearly full. The only apps she uses regularly are Facebook and these 2 casino game apps "Jackpot Party" and "Goldfish Casino". She's tried deleting other apps, including uninstalling some of the default apps that were originally installed such as Microsoft Word or Google Earth. There is also an anti-virus app included and she frequently cleans the cache, junk files, etc out of the tablet. I know that getting a 8 or 16 GB SD Card may help move the Casino apps data from the Android storage to the SD card storage. I have searched through the web for other ideas on how to free more spaces. Are there any other ideas out there? Thanks. |

Is A Glass Screen Protector A Worthwhile Addition? Posted: 20 Dec 2016 12:54 PM PST What is the glass on the LG Watch Urbane made from? Is it Corning Gorilla Glass? I baby my devices and I am very careful with them. All of my phones and tablets have screen protectors and heavy duty cases. I am not clumsy at all, but I like to be preventative for any potential mishaps that could arise. My dilemma is that I don't know whether or not I should put a glass screen protector on my watch because it will certainly change the look of it and I'm not sure placing the screen protector on it is actually going to protect it much more than it is already protected on its own. Please tell me your thoughts. Thank you. Get your LG Watch Urbane News On Twitter, Follow: @LGUrbaneNews |
