Wifi says determining something Posted: 22 Dec 2016 01:34 PM PST It moves fast but once in a while I get an icon on the top left that is the wifi with stars In it. And it says determining quality or something. It even happens in my home wifi. I am now shutting wifi off all day because it sometimes hangs up and won't switch to cell data. This may be because I have TWC wifi enable, meaning I am set up to connect to one of those hotspots. I figured with Google fi the transitions would be smoother. With other phones I had to do the same thing because the wifi stuff would just get in the way. So I turn it on as needed. It happened on my other xl but not this much. I think I have all the same thing on or off, but maybe not. Thanks in advance. |

Disabling Hands Free Activation Posted: 22 Dec 2016 01:31 PM PST I have unlocked Sprint s7 Edge that I am using Straight talk/AT&T on. I downloaded the Package Disabler Pro and disabled as much as I could safely disable from what I could find online elsewhere. I still am getting the Hands Free Activation Screen everytime I reboot. I read in several forums to download the Package Disabler and disable system update but I don't have system update or anything like it in the list of options. Does anyone know what I need to disable in Packager Disabler to stop this HFA from opening upon reboot? I disabled everything on the first list of this post - http://forums.androidcentral.com/sam...fe-remove.html plus the Sprint ID, Sprint Hub, Sprint Fun & Games, Sprint Zone |
Happy Holidays All - OnePlus 3T Posted: 22 Dec 2016 01:29 PM PST As of about 2 days ago, I have noticed a rapid drain of the battery. From 100-0 in about 8 hours. And just now, recharged around 1:30 p.m., and as of about 4:00 p.m. it went from 97% to 55%, with "3 more hours of battery left" I have hardly been using it...at all. I leave the display on 50% normally, but again, not using it. And since noticing this, I even took the dispay to 25%. I went to the settings/battery to find that right above Android is Dictionary, which I don't use. I force closed it ***Edited, Added: All the time using the Dash Charger. Hoping that this is the problem Dictionary 8% Android System 6% Android OS 5% Facebook 5% TypeApp Mail 4% T-Mobile Name ID 4% Google App 4% Google Play Services 2% I would welcome any help. |

Yellow tint on the screen of my Galaxy S5 Posted: 22 Dec 2016 01:09 PM PST So just today my Galaxy S5 got a yellowish tint (sorta like the one that f.lux gives you) I don't think it's a hardware problem as when I open the Settings app it reverts to the normal color, but when I close it the tint reappears. Any suggestions? Thanks. |
Wifi won't turn on in airplane mode Posted: 22 Dec 2016 12:59 PM PST I have an HTC M8. I used to be able to turn on Wi-Fi in airplane mode until last week. There was apparently an update, I got signed out of Google, etc, various things on my phone were rearranged, and now I'm unable to turn on Wi-Fi in airplane mode. I called HTC support and they said that this was a new security measure but didn't have any documentation, their website is not up to date on this, and I can't find any references anywhere that what they told me is correct. Is this in fact a new security measure, and if it isn't what can I do about it? |

"Google play services has stopped" dialog wont go away, cant get past it Posted: 22 Dec 2016 12:57 PM PST Hey guys on my lollipop motorola moto e (cyanogen mod) I installed some update for Google Play Serices. Now, for a few days ever since that happened, when I start it, a dialog appears "Unfortunately Google Play Services has stopped" REPORT OK No matter how many times I press OK, the dialog reappears IMMEDIATELY I cant get to settings, I try to click OK with one finger really fast and with other hand to try to scroll or click anything but nothing is working. The dialog stays there permanently. I rebooted in Safe mode, but the same thing happened. How do I fix this? Maybe use adb to uninstall Google Play Services? If so - how do I do that, step by step? |
No Ringtones through BT headset Posted: 22 Dec 2016 12:45 PM PST I've noticed my ringtones don't play through my BT headsets (numerous LG sets), instead of assigned ringtones that let me know who is calling without looking at my phone, I get a standardized ringtone. This happens on any headset I pair and even happens in my car. My IP played whatever ringer I have assigned as did my older Android phones. Anyone else have this issue or have a workaround for this? Thanks |
