If you're reading this on a laptop, you probably have the Flash browser plug-in installed and you probably have a webcam too. Which is all you need in order to take advantage of a neat web-based system called Foto Friend. It lets you grab an image from your webcam, but not before you've added one of a number of effects. There are some nice colour schemes, artistic transormations, and even animated snow that automatically settles on the edges of the image. In the picture here, you can see the snowflakes beginning to lie on my head!
