Android N could bring redesigned notification shade and quick settings panel

While most of have only recently begun settling in with Android 6.0 Marshmallow on our devices, Android N looms near. In fact, we can expect to see our first official look at what the Android team has cooked up during this year's Google I/O, taking place on May 18th – 20th at the Shoreline Amphitheater

Well ahead of its official March 11th launch date, the Samsung Galaxy S7 has already begun landing on some people's doorsteps (the ones that pre-ordered it anyway). But apparently YouTubers like SuperSaf have gotten their hands on the device even earlier than that and are wasting no time in pitting the S7 up against the latest crop of iPhones.

When it comes to my electronic devices, I like them to match the color of my soul: black. With black, you don't have to worry about blue jean stains, it hides all around dirt better, and after years of abuse, it just generally looks better than most other colors.

Google starts selling premium Cardboard headsets on the Google Store

The Google Store is now selling third-party Cardboard headsets. Sitting alongside Google's standard cardboard kit (which is literal cardboard that you fold up to create a virtual reality headset) are options from Mattel and Goggle Tech.

We totally wouldn't blame Samsung for keeping their Edge display goodness to themselves, but they want to make more money, and there seems to be a pretty sizable list of people interested in buying them. Samsung is reportedly in talks with companies like Xiaomi, Huawei and Vivo to supply dual Edge displays for upcoming smartphones.

It's February 29th, folks, which means HTC is opening up pre-sale opportunities for the HTC Vive. The virtual reality headset will cost $799, though that enables a very rich experience that features spatial awareness, motion controls and some serious power.

We've already rattled off a list of N-named desserts which the next version of Android could be named after, but one Googler could be hinting that they've already settled on a name -- Nori. It's seaweed, folks.

Pre-sales for the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge went live just a few short days after Samsung officially announced the things, and with a March 11th launch date we knew they'd be right around the corner. But they could be arriving at some folks' doorsteps earlier than we expect: T-Mobile customers are reporting that tracking numbers are now going out!
