Adaptable storage now possible ... Worth it? Posted: 10 Mar 2016 12:53 PM PST Just spotted this, reckon it's worth it? Modaco Manages To Get Adoptable SD Card Storage Working On The Galaxy S7 And Galaxy S7 Edge, No Root Required |
S7 s voice is not as useful as s voice on old s5 Posted: 10 Mar 2016 12:48 PM PST The S voice app has gotten better and better on my s5. Just got the s7 and the S voice app is not as good. S5 version is 11.7.0.1 The S7 version is 1.9.35-51 Something has changed and I'd like to either update the S voice on the S7 or download a different, that is better! version. Anyone know anything about the new S voice or how to get it updated? Thanks. |
AT&T Carrier, note 5 SW update Posted: 10 Mar 2016 12:47 PM PST OK, Note 5 through AT&T. Just got an ota update. Took about 10-15 minutes. My question is, what was it? 5.1.1 starting out with and ended with 5.1.1. Anyone got any ideas what it was? Posted via the Android Central App |

My tablet has turned off and won't come back on Posted: 10 Mar 2016 12:44 PM PST It's not dead and I haven't had it long please help |
Private mode for the external storage doesn't work Posted: 10 Mar 2016 12:44 PM PST I had an S5 and I could put items into private mode on my sd card. It seems that I can only put it on internal memory for the S7. I could only find one thread on the internet and it was for an S6, I'm assuming it had the same issue. Does anyone know how to put private files on the sd card? |
Can the ring tone volume be locked? Posted: 10 Mar 2016 12:39 PM PST The position of the volume button on the Nexus 6P makes it easy to unintentionally raise or lower the volume. Is there a way to lock the volume. I realize I can be more careful when picking the phone up. |
how do i import outlook contacts into Galaxy S6 Posted: 10 Mar 2016 12:33 PM PST I have lots of contacts in my contacts in outlook and I would like to import them into my new galaxy S6. |
Do I need to unlock the bootloader in order to modify the system.img file in the firmware? Posted: 10 Mar 2016 12:21 PM PST I'm trying to add an APK to /system/priv-app in a Droid Maxx by modifying the firmware. Using simg2img and make_ext4fs on ubuntu, I can unpack and repack the system.img file, place it back into the firmware, and flash it successfully. But when I do the same thing, and add the APK to /system/privapp, I get the following errors: Invalid entry hash for system: index=0 and Preflash Validation failed There were more steps than this, I just didn't want to get too detailed, in case there was an easy answer to this question. The original firmware file is: CFC-obakem_verizon-user-4.4.4-SU6-7-release-keys.xml.zip Thanks |

Connected to WIFI but things aren't happening. Posted: 10 Mar 2016 12:18 PM PST Ok, I do apologize in advance if this has been answered but I have spent the last two days searching forums, google, etc and I haven't found a solution that works or fixes my problem. I received my Samsung S7 on Tuesday after a long and often stormy affair with the iPhone. Now the problem I seem to be having is that when I am connected to the WIFI here at work, I seem to have issues with pictures, GIFS, videos downloading in my apps and browser. I also can not see to download apps from Google Play. The downloading bar just keeps going and going, like it never catches and starts the download. When I am at home on my WIFI there is no problem at all, downloads are fast, browser pics, videos, etc come up super quick. I am almost certain I am paying for a better internet speed at my home, so that makes sense but I never had a problem with my iPhone 6 here at work in the past. I've tried rebooting everything, I've tried clearing the cache, changing the date, nothing seems to improve anything at all. Please help!! |
Not really happy - a few issues. Posted: 10 Mar 2016 12:18 PM PST Haven't had a galaxy since the s3 (used LG since). A few things. The led doesn't always flash and the led apps such as light flow don't work. Every single time the phone reboots or restarts, it seems to feel the need to tell me I am using an SD card. The biggest issue -> music! No matter what app I use or what songs, settings, folders I use, it doesn't send the current info to Bluetooth. I know it's not the car I have (2016 wrx) as my g4 and my wife's old v10 displayed perfectly. Her car doesn't display her s7 edge info either (2015 wrx with a different stock stereo). Idk if I should just return this and stick with the g4. Or is there a fix? |
Getting a new phone, which one should I get from this list? Posted: 10 Mar 2016 12:16 PM PST So I'm planning to get a new phone through my company and this is the list of phones I can get: Huawei Y6 (Dual Sim) LG Magna Dual Sim ZTE Blade A460 Huawei G620S Sony Xperia M2 Aqua Sony Xperia E4 LG Spirit Samsung j100 Alcatel Idol 2 Sony Xperia E3 Sony Xperia M2 Sony Xperia E1 Sony Xperia M I'm not really an expert when it comes to Android phones, so I'm wondering which one from this list would be the best to get in terms of specifications, design, performance etc. |
