Time stamp on texts, instead of date? Droid Mini Posted: 24 Mar 2016 12:46 PM PDT Hi, I just bought a Motorola Droid Mini unlocked Verizon phone that I use with Net10 service. My old phone (HTC Evo) used to have an exact time and date stamp on all text messages sent and received. The new Droid will list the time, but when the new day stats (at midnight), all messages will just list the date, no time. I HATE this. Is there a way, or a setting, to make it so the exact time stamp is ALWAYS listed on all messages? Thanks for any help, this is driving me crazy! :( |

Is there a fix for a Hard Bricked Blu Advance 4.0 phone? Posted: 24 Mar 2016 12:41 PM PDT Hi, I have a Blu Advance 4.0, model: A270a. A couple of days ago, I bricked my phone trying to fix an error that popped up randomly. About 4 days ago, I was using my phone normally on Facebook. All of a sudden, i started getting error messages saying that an App Stopped Working. Seconds later, i got a lot of messages saying the same thing but with every single app I had on my phone. So I decided to restart it, and got another error before it booted saying "Encryption Unsuccessful" and that I had to do a Hard Reset in order for the phone to start working again. There was a "Reset" Button showing at the bottom of the error and it did nothing. So, I reset it to factory mode via Recovery Mode. It worked. But, when I Re-Booted it, it got stuck on the logo, so it got Soft-Bricked. Then, I decided to flash it (Like I did a couple of months ago when my phone got Soft-Bricked as well) with the same Flash Tool (SP Flash Tool v5) I used before and the same ROM. I got an error saying "BROM ERROR, NO SPACE #5069". I did not know what it was so I Formated it from the flash tool. I tried turning it on and, nothing happened. It hasn't done anything ever since. I connected it to my laptop and it detects it. I have tried installing other ROMS and I got the same error: "BROM ERROR No Space 5069" which means that the device does not have enough space for that ROM. That is something I don't get becuase I have tried many ROMS of that phone and model and nothing has worked. Is there a fix for it? I've looked up and many people say that using JTAG could fix it, but, I don't know how exactly that works. Is it only with a software or with hardware as well? Any other suggestions? I'd appreciate it a lot. Thanks. |

Posted: 24 Mar 2016 12:34 PM PDT What are some good light weight apps to replace, texting, launcher, email and ect. Basically I'm trying to find some apps that consume very little power. I have a galaxy s3 and some of the newer apps take a lot of resources to run. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Posted via the Android Central App |
Posted: 24 Mar 2016 12:34 PM PDT For the last few weeks I couldn't send text messages at all , i would get a message failed message.l can receive them just fine,I recently change to t mobile recently due what i though was service issues with Verizon.I can use my phone fine now accept i can't send a single text message to one person, but i can send a group messages and picture messages fine. How to transfer notes from Ace 1 to J5? Posted: 24 Mar 2016 12:27 PM PDT How to transfer notes from Samsung Galaxy Ace (Android 2.3.6 without possibility of update) to Samsung Galaxy J5 (Android 5.1 Lollipop)? Smart Switch can't be installed on Ace :/ |
Is there a way to get the older style black background, such as on my Note 2 that has 4.x Android? Posted: 24 Mar 2016 12:19 PM PDT There are lots of white screens on the S7 which I would expect reduce battery life. The phone dialer app for example, and the Settings screens. Can we get an app that will affect the background (to black, for instance) of those apps? I kinda like the look of the old dialer app. I thought themes would give me a choice for that, but when I check out themes they seem to be for giving odd looking icons and backgrounds on the home screen; something I don't want to change. I'm find with stock icons and Nova Launcher. |
True Way to Achieve No Vibrate/Silent Mode with Android Wear Posted: 24 Mar 2016 12:05 PM PDT Hey guys, I've seen a few threads about how the do not disturb mode is the new "silent mode" but what most don't cover is how to completely remove the vibrate feature. Even when in priority only mode my phone still vibrates for the approved apps but my watch mimics what the device does so if I put it on DND silent the watch is silent too. What I am looking to do is, given the fact that I have an android wear on my arm that vibrates for my notifications, achieve a way where my phone is silent (no vibrate), still receives notifications on my device and watch, and can easily vibrate if I would choose to have it (ie audible ringing mode) without having to go through each individual app and disable/enable it. Has google really made it this hard with Marshmallow? My GS6 (I know, I know) had a silent mode I just tapped to get to. Does this all make sense? |
