My provider (Fido - Canada) converts my voicemails into text and sends the audio as an MMS.

This is very convenient as I usually never have to listen to a message, however when the text cannot be converted properly, I do have to listen to the message.

The problem is that when I click on the MMS audio, it plays through the speaker - and I don't know how to change it to play to the handset instead.

Sometimes you don't want everyone around you knowing your mom called to tell you toilet paper is on sale, or that your boss is going to fire you for ignoring his calls...

Any help is appreciated.

hey guys, Just recently dropped my sony xperia on the floor and its power button came off... I tried to take out the battery and put it back in but my phone would not boot up. The phone is able to charge, I have charged it to 100% but despite that it won't turn on..

I tried installing a flash rom for the first time, followed instructions, i dont know what i did wrong, but i think i bricked my s7. Right now all i got is a blue screen with the message "An error has occured while updating the device software. Use the emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software"
But i downloaded Smart switch but it doesnt recognize my phone, it says its not supported. I also tried putting in download mode again but its not working.
Please Help!!

After a lot of time holding vol down + Power + home i got into download mode again, but im trying to use odin again but its not doing anything, i think its not recognazing the usb connectoin or something

For the last month or so my phone has been downloading 50MB of data per day, in five files of 10MB, usually one file in mid-afternoon and the other 4 early evening. I have no idea what application is downloading this. Tesco mobile cannot tell me what the phone is accessing during these downloads. It is an old Samsung phone that I hardly use for anything much but my 500MB monthly limit is now being burst in 10 days each month!

Is there an app I can install that will tell me what the phone is accessing so I can find out what it is and turn it off? Currently I have the mobile network disconnected to avoid the problem but this is hardly an acceptable solution!

I recently got an alert that there is an update to 6.0, and it came in two parts.the 2nd part refuses to download. All I get is download in progress, and it refuses to move from 0%.

Will the HTC 10 work with Straight Talk?

My contract with Verizon was up in January...I haven't decided what to do, but I do know I want the 10.
2 year cost with VXW is going to be around $2700
2 years with TMobile is around 1900
2 years with Straight Talk (I can pay month by month or pay a yearly rate) will be 1600

Thinking of buying the phone unlocked and switching to ST. I haven't contacted VZW or TMo yet, I may be able to get a better deal if I call and tell them I'm leaving.

Any opinions?

I just purchased a 2016 Honda Accord EX with the 2 screens. My phone is a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 on T-Mobile. The phone paired up with the car no problem, and for the most part, works fine. There are a couple of annoying quirks, though, and I'm wondering if anyone else has seen this. Previously, I had a 2002 Accord EX with an aftermarket Alpine CDE-149BT head unit that had Bluetooth.

1) When I initiate a call from the phone itself, it does not automatically put the call on Bluetooth. I have to hit the Bluetooth button on the phone, and even then, the car's display shows the call, but I still hear the radio (or whatever) while the phone is dialing, rather than hearing the progress. As such, I can't hear if it's ringing or busy, and also, when someone picks up, it takes a couple of seconds to "transfer" the call to the car's system. I didn't have that problem in my old car. If I initiate the call from the car's screen, or if I answer an incoming call using the car's controls, there's no problem.

2) I have the T-Mobile Voicemail app, and while I don't subscribe to Visual Voicemail, the app still downloads voicemail messages from T-Mobile and I can play them from the phone, even when offline. In my old car, when I would play one back, the radio would switch to Phone mode (as if I were making or answering a call), and I'd hear the voicemail play over the car speakers. This doesn't happen in the new car; I have to play the voicemail using the phone's speakerphone in order to hear it.

I'm still learning some of the ins and outs of the car's system, but these 2 things are particularly annoying, and I'm hoping there's a way around them. I haven't found it yet.

cracked the screen on my phone, I can just se the top indicators of the display, barely 7 milimeters, so i canmake out if i have any notifications, battery life and if its on home screen or locked screen.
The power button doesnt work, the touch doesnt work.
Support told me to download Kies and it would solve all my problems so I hung up like an *****.
I launched Kies, it told me I had to unlock the phone (******* support guy), luckily I found out that theres this amazing site called find my phone where I can unlock my phone, I did so.
Kies does not think this is enough, it´s still recognizes the phone as locked, have reconnected the phone and rebooted KIES. all leading to the same "Kies says ur phone is locked" dead end.

Support also said that if I dont reset it so the password dissapears they will send it back and ask me to remove password and try again.

Help.

So I recently bought this phone and I enjoy it very much! Although there's a problem that is really bugging me. Everytime I film something on snapchat the sound lags and becomes like 1 sec after the video and it's really annoying because it looks very weird etc...? I've tried to reinstall snapchat but it doesn't really work.

What's wrong?

For about 2 weeks now my phone has been very inconstant with charging (in most cases refusing to at all). Whenever I plug it in I get the "moisture detected" safeguard. This is since it spent maybe 5-10 minutes in a shallow, salt water puddle. I have dried it in rice, an airing cupboard, with a hair drier, still won't charge. I've tried many attempts to remove any salt that might be in there (I thought that may of been the problem) but still no charging. I'm getting very frustrated by it, and when I took it back to the shop, they plugged it in and, of course, it charged straight away, no problems. I've tried different sockets, leads, power supplies, nothing. Please help.

My sister has the galaxy s7 and it's constantly showing the "USB for midi" banner in the notification shade. Anyone know why this is and how to get it to stop showing??

I'm on Android N Beta with my Nexus 6P. Ambient Display is showing up when notifications for some apps come in, but not all of them. Specifically it's not working for me with Gmail and Hangouts. The notifications are there waiting when I turn on my screen. Some apps however do work, such as Google Messenger and Youtube notifications. Is anyone else seeing this?

the phone dropped and worked for the day when the battery died i charged it and it keeps rebooting does anyone know what i could do cause i can't find the software anywhere

Since I've installed Marshmallow on my Verizon Galaxy S6, my connectivity is horrible. Where I used to get 4G connectivity, my data now slows to a crawl. This is an issue with Wifi and regular 4G.

I've cleared the cache, but short of reformatting, any ideas on how to get the previous speeds back?

First of all let me say that I'm a diehard android fan when it comes to smartphones. As far as laptops go, I need my macbooks. Anyway, because of their work, both my kids have an iPhone. My daughter's iPhone finally died after 4 years of heavy use. When we bought her new one today at the Apple store, we were offered their iPhone applecare. It was $129.00, plus a $99.00 deductable. BUT, the big difference between applecare and verizons insuance, is that if anything happens to her phone, whether it be due to failure or drops or whatever, she gets a BRAND NEW IPHONE, if hers cannot be fixed. So if her screen gets cracked or it sits in a tub of water overnight, she pays her deductible and gets a new, not rephurbished phone. Thats the reason I never get the insurance from Verizon, if the phone I bought new gets damaged beyond repair, I want it replaced with a brand new phone not someone elses rebuilt. And verizon can send you a different color, and even a different brand of the same caliber. So, Verizon, do it right. Follow apples, applecare. It's the right thing to do. By the way, i did buy a macbook that died 2.5 years into the applecare. It was deemed unrepairable. And yes, i got a brand new one.
