Posted: 27 May 2016 12:56 PM PDT I'm wondering if Google upcoming Daydream VR will work with the S7 when it comes out. I assume Daydream will require Android N, but will there be any hardware requirements that the S7 doesn't have? Posted via the Android Central App |
Google Chrome not showing keyboard suggestions Posted: 27 May 2016 12:53 PM PDT I have a Nexus 6p. Is there any reason why Chrome does not show keyboard suggestions at the top of it when doing a search? |
Problems with image quality NOT taken on S7 Edge. Posted: 27 May 2016 12:52 PM PDT To keep it brief, I'm finally back to Android after 5 years and I've realized an issue with the images on my S7 edge. Photo's taken with my DSLR and edited in Lightroom/Photoshop get uploaded to Flickr and look perfect. Looks the same on my PC & other iPhone & iPad devices. When I look at them on flickr using my S7 they appear darker so when I save and post to IG they are also darker. Any ideas on what is happening because once they get posted on IG, everybody sees them darker which is no good. I have saved the correct image from Flickr onto an iPOS device and texted it to the S7 and it apparently comes in dark. I don't want to have to use the iPhone & iPad to post to IG that's preposterous. WTF am I missing? |

Watchland - Use any GWD file easily Posted: 27 May 2016 12:47 PM PDT Hi everyone! Today I'm showing here my first proper app for the Gear S2: Watchland. Watchland (free) allows you to load any GWD file on your Gear S2 in just a few clicks. No need for certificates, complex software, or anything else. On top of that, if you're signed in, you can share your GWD files automatically and download faces shared by all the app users! Here's a promo video so you can see what the app is like: The app is free and the list of public watchfaces is growing by the minute, so join us :) |

Posted: 27 May 2016 12:43 PM PDT I could barely stand the wait for my LG v10. Loved my Nokia Lumia 1520 but I couldn't download some needed apps for my profession as a Realtor. Had it not been for that I would have kept my Windows phone until it died. On my Lumia I could hear my ringer from a different floor. With the sound on the LG v10 powered to max I can barely hear it when it's close by. I've used loud ringer tones I downloaded and some stock ringers and it doesn't matter - sound is not good! Funny how some people feel the LG v10 is too big - I'm getting used to the smaller size from the 1520. I like the 2nd screen, but I'll need to buy hearing aids to notice when it's ringing! Am I missing something? I powered up from the back and went into the sound settings and have it up to the max. Help! I've never returned a phone before and would really like to keep this. |
HTC 10 based on a regular user Posted: 27 May 2016 12:39 PM PDT I see many many post of people throwing out all this blah blah blah trying to sound all smart. Like they know everything about phones. I guess a bit of history went from windows phone to iOS then to Android back to iOS and now to the HTC 10. This is no way makes me an expert at all. As far as the 10 goes, I really enjoy this device a lot. It will do everything you want it to do and more. I have the unlocked version so out of the box I had 2 updates and never experienced any issues. Such as camera and extreme battery drain. I have no pink hue when I hold the phone at an angle. I can understand the boom sound. It's not as loud as as the previous models. It's still really good. If it seems quiet you can switch it from music mode to theatrical mode and that does boost the volume and make it sound more full. I haven't really used the messaging app seeing as how I am partial to textra. So I can't comment on lag for that app. I can say I haven't experienced any lag at all. The issue with the viewing of the screen in the sun hasn't really bothered me at all. Probably because the iPhone sucks when viewing in the sun and that's what I'm use to. I love being able to theme my device without having to slap a launcher on my device. That was my favorite thing with my note 5 and Android in general. I really love how clean the UI is on this device. Theres no cluttered bs and no useless app(probably because it's unlocked) As far as battery usage. I have only had this for a few days so I can't really say. I do know that I have had a day of normal usage. The phone was off charger for 18 hours and by the time I got home I still had 34% battery and never used battery saver. From a guy who enjoys technology and phones. This is really a solid device, the build quality is also excellent. It always comes down to what you like and what you want from a phone. I highly recommend this device to anyone. Posted: 27 May 2016 12:36 PM PDT Why does everybody keep saying Android lollipops volume controls were so confusing and now with Marshmallow it's simpler? It's not. Lollipop had FOUR volume controls: ringtone, media, notifications, system. With the marshmallow update they removed the notifications volume, so now there are only THREE volume controls: ringtone, media, system. Now I am unable to adjust the volume from my app notifications SEPARATELY from my ringtone. Whose bright idea was this? |

How do I get the stock weather widget to show on my home screen on galaxy s4 Posted: 27 May 2016 12:33 PM PDT Have had no problems with weather widget on galaxy s4 until today. Weather widget will not show up on home screen. When I try to drag the widget to home screen, it says widget already there. My wife has same phone and her weather widget is on her home screen, so it is not a problem with the widget. |
How to move camera photos and random thumbnails to cloud or computer..? Posted: 27 May 2016 12:24 PM PDT Hey all I bought an 8gb sd card to tide me over until I decide which giant size sd card to get. Anyways, I filled it up, as well as my phone's (Moto X Pure) internal storage. I tried to connect my phone via usb (w/ usb debugging) to both my Chromebook and my PC, but the device was not recognized on either. Well, it was on my PC but there was no way to access it for some odd reason. Anyway, I finally decided to select 100 of the >1,000 photos from my gallery and upload them to Google Drive This was going fine until it looked like it was just about to finish up and google drive started crashing and rebooting uncontrollably. At one point a notification popped up about internal storage being used up... So, do the photos you upload to the "cloud" aka Google Drive also store locally on the device? Why else would the tiny bit of internal memory I have left be used up by uploading gallery photos to Drive? I will try a different USB cord and a different computer later tonight if I haven't figured it out, but what am I doing wrong and what is an easy solution to get these photos off of my phone and into the cloud or onto a computer? Thanks in advance :D |
How is it that I can see other people's album when they send me a picture? Posted: 27 May 2016 12:22 PM PDT When someone texts me a picture, in the top right corner of my screen, it says album. When I tap in it, I can see their entire album. Why? And can how can I stop them from seeing mine? |
