I received this charger for free in exchange for an honest review.

I know that the cliché saying of something being referred to as "the best of both worlds" is rather overused, However, this device truly can be accredited with such a claim. First of all, it has anker poweriq technology, which is by far the best way to charge devices such as an iPhone or Android Tablet, since they do not have any means to quick charge on their own. Secondly, if you do have do a quick charge 3.0 port, combined with this device it will be the fastest method of charging available on the market.

Another thing to remember is that this device is also retro compatible with quick charge 2.0 and 1.0, so if you have a device that supports either of these versions it will coordinate with whichever quick charge device properly in order to charge at the maximum speed.

This charger is not only compact and easy to transport, but it is also incredibly durable, and this durability has become a trait that I have come to expect from all Anker products, and I have not been let down yet! I use my devices all the time, and although I try to be careful with them, we are all human and we make mistakes, so it is a great benefit to us all that Anker puts so much time into making sure that their products are well made.

This charger is the perfect companion for any tablet or smartphone with quick charge technology, and even if your smartphone does not support current quick charge technology, you can be sure that in buying this device you will be ready for when you make the upgrade to a better smartphone, and you can rest assuredly in that you will not need to buy a new charger as well.

I sincerely appreciate all that this device has to offer. It truly is, "the best of both worlds" in terms of normal and quick charging technology. It works with all sorts of devices, including those that support quick charging technology and those that do not, and it has three USB ports so that you can charge several devices at once. You can even use the charger to charge devices of both types at the same time, and you wont experience any slowdown!

I was given this for testing and evaluation and this is my unbiased review:

The Olala Powerbank somehow manages to be unique in a market that is absolutely flooded with a plethora of devices that were built to accomplish the exact same tasks. Although slightly bigger than the thirteen thousand other powerbanks, you end up saving space due to the device having both an Apple MFI cable, as well as a USB port with 2.4 amps so that you also have the option to charge an Android phone or Tablet in the case that you have multiple devices from different manufacturers.

This powerbank was most definitely built with durability in mind. It is built with durable materials and has a very sturdy feel to it. Unlike many other devices, this device is not a fingerprint magnet, so you do not need to constantly be wiping it down to remove them. Although sleek, it is incredibly well built. I dropped mine two times and it still has not even a scratch on it.

I mainly use it to charge my LG G Flex 2 and although it is slightly slower than some of the other powerbanks on the market, it is not substantial enough of a difference to be noticed by the average consumer.

I highly recommend this device to everyone, especially those with a plethora of devices from multiple manufacturers..

Backing up a Galaxy Note GT-N8010

OK So I have a customers Galaxy Note GT-N8010 which appears to have a battery issue. When on charge using the official charger the percentage charge decreases rather than rises!!!
I want to send it off to get a new battery installed but need to ensure it is fully backed up first.
I have tried installing Kies on a PC and backing it up locally but as soon as I unplug it from the charger it overloads the USB port and is not recognised by Windows. I tried charging overnight whilst turned off and it got to 68% and halted but was enough to connect it to the PC and for the driver to install. However before I could back it up it discharged and overloaded the USB Bus and now Windows will not recognise it at all. I have tried un-installing and reinstalling Kies and various other tips found online but to no effect.
I need to factory restore it before sending it for repair but don't want to lose the customers data. It appears to be backing up to her Google and Samsung accounts (but the latter only appears to be the wallpaper!!!). I also read unless there is a micro SD installed, pictures are not automatically backed up. She has no SD card and all her photos are on internal storage.
In addition Dropbox is also configured but I cant make out what if anything is backing up to Dropbox.

Can anyone tell me where the data is backed up to on the Google Servers? It doesn't appear to be the same as Apple iCloud in that you can go to one place. Does the backup go to Google Drive or spread across various Google cloud applications is it hidden.

Is there anyway I can ensure the device is backed up before I do a factory reset?

Well, what a nice little speaker!
The design and build quality is amazing! Looks soo good. The battery life is about 7 hours 39 min in my testing, I'm sure with a sd card will be even more.
This speaker is powerful as well, is the star of the living room since I got it! Is not big, is not small ether, is perfect, small footprint, you know is there because the sound is amaing. I sincerely recomend this speaker.

This powerbank is classy!

I have another powerbank for my daily basis but this one is for my work hours, is a good looking device, people notice the powerbank, is not plastic like the others this one looks expensive, and the feeling of the cold metal is nice, is a little heavy but you have 20000mah of power with it, is just in my office, on my bag, if I have a meeting I will use this one, because this one is the next level in design and quality.

Your can have a cheaper one of smaller one, they work great most of the tome, but sometimes, you know you need something extra. And that's why I have this powerbank.

I am not as knowledgeable about phones as I thought I was. My mother wanted an iPhone for a while (and I wouldn't touch that with a 10-foot pole) but hey, soon mother's day was around the corner and I was browsing Kijiji for an iPhone 6. I find one at a reasonable price, it doesn't seem too scammy. Owner says he is selling his phone, it's locked with Bell Canada, because he's switching for iPhone 6 Plus. He doesn't have any other devices listed (as in, not selling anything else under that ID). I send him an e-mail, request the IMEI, I check it, it's not in Lost Mode, it's not blacklisted, and I thought that was enough.

So a few days go by, it's Mother's Day, I hand it over to my mom... and activation lock. I'm mortified. I e-mail the guy. Nothing. Of course, nothing. I browse the internet, I find out that I have bought quite the expensive useless brick. I have no idea what to do. I've been looking up stuff since Sunday the 8th.

I'm not sure if it's a scam, I'm not even sure if iCloud lock is the same as Activation Lock. I feel like a dumbass.

Does anyone know anything about a solution for my issue?

But Google play don't open this message appear in fortunately Google play service has stopped and I do all of solution like clear cache , update it and uninstall it and Google play too and nothing happen except some thing when I try to enter Google play I see words Check info and I let the download for 9 hours and no thing happen so any another solves please .?

Well, we all make mistakes, and having this device around when the time comes will feel like an absolute godsend, and you will feel brilliant for having the foresight to have purchased this particular device. Whether it be leaving your lights on and accidentally killing your battery, or showing the good Samaritan within you by helping your fellow man stuck on the side of the road. Having a car jumper of this quality will make you a hero to anyone in need whilst you are around. Even if you do not know how to operate the device yourself, most people do, and simply having the device with you will save you from at least a few headaches in the future.

The Ravpower 1400mah is an absolute gem of a device. It is an incredibly reliable car battery jumper, and unlike most car jumping devices on the market, this one is not builky and frustrating to use. It is clearly evident that the design team did as much as they could to make this device as sleek as possible and easy to use. It even has its own flashlight. It is small and highly portable, and comes with a wall charger, car charger, 2 USB cables and the car jumper itself. All of this is carried in a small bag that is barely noticeable in the trunk of ones car, or under one of the seats within the cabin. You are going to absolutely love this device.

In order to test this device I took this risk of allowing my battery to die four times over a four day period by leaving my lights on. Each subsequent day I would use the car jumper to jump the battery and each time it was successful on the first try. The device worked flawlessly.

Mediaserver battery drain

I've got the dreaded mediaserver battery drain.

The phone is running hot, it's also gone janky and a little less responsive and the battery is being obliterated to the point where it's draining at a rate similar to having the screen always on, also stopping Doze from kicking in.

I've deleted app installs since I noticed the problem (thought Spotify was the culprit but no). I've wiped cache from the bootloader and from Storage menu.

What else should I try before I resort to factory reset?

Why is my keyboard different from yesterday? (ZTE Allstar)

I didn't change anything in my settings at all yesterday but when I used my phone the keyboard was completely different, two emoji buttons, smaller keys, even an extremely light vibration compared to what I'm used to. I don't like this change because the keys are too small for my liking, but when I go to the settings to change the keyboard it's greyed out. How can I change this?

I was on the internet the other day, when I seen an ad pop up about some "trojan virus" found on my phone. I usually ignore these ads, it just wants me to download some app. But this time the ad was more specific. I decided to get an app, and it found a malware virus on my phone. The app that was causing the problem had no icon, and no name or info about it. Could this have been an actual virus? And if so, I've been having some problems on my phone lately with my sim card not being detected. Could the virus have caused that? Should I be worried?

Why cant my HTC One turn on, or charge?

I had 10 precent left on my phone so I plugged it in like I do every other day. It did not recognize that my phone was plugged in or charging in any way. The notification light was not orange as it normally would be. I tried 5 different cables and 5 different bricks with many outlets. I left it to "charge" all night to see if that would fix it, but it was not any better. When I plug it in to a computer it does not recognize it or add any drives. I tried every idea of button combos I found online with no luck (mainly battery calibration). So any other tips? Should I take advantage of my warranty?

Feb. Security update

I switched my AT&T sim from my Nexus 6 to my Edge Plus after about 6 weeks and immediately got an update - from October security patch to February. It's kind of hilarious - Marshmallow will come at some point, and that will be great, but kind of hard to believe that these security updates are so tardy. I know that in the future I will never again purchase carrier branded phones.

My son's S6 just got updated to 6.0.1.
So he turned on Video Calling. I turned on my Video Calling as well.
We tried to make a call, but fails to do a Video Call from either side.
HD Voice Calling works just fine.

Autocorrect is out of its mind?

I'm loving my new Galaxy s7 Edge so far, but my main complaint is the autocorrect on the default keyboard... Is it just me or is it completely out of its mind with some of its automatic corrections?

I wish I could remember some specific examples from over the past week, but especially when typing someone's name, I could type a 5 letter word, and it automatically changes it to some 9 letter word that just happens to start with the same letter. Some of the words it autocorrects me to don't even seem to be actual words. And this is fresh out of the box, so it's not like it's learned a bunch of misspelled words from me.

Anyone else having this issue?

If it happens today (it probably will) i'll post some good (and funny but annoying) examples.

LG G2 stuck in bootloop, pc won't recognize it?

I'm trying to find the IMEI of an LGG2. It's a Rogers phone and the IMEI isn't on the back, sim tray or anywhere on the physical phone. The phone is stuck in a boot loop so I can't go into the settings to retrieve the IMEI, so I'm trying to fix the boot loop issue. When I go into system recovery and wipe data, factory reset, or wipe cache I get error messages:

E:Can't open /cache/recovery/log
E:failed to mount /cache (No such file or directory)

I'm trying to flash it using my PC but the PC isn't recognizing the device. Is there anyway to flash it or unlock the bootloader without the phone turning on? Alternatively is there a way to force the PC to recognize the phone? I've installed drivers for it but it's not showing up in my device manager at all.

Basically how do I get this phone to turn on? I'm not sure the history on it as it was passed down to me, but the person said it had never been rooted and the bootloader is for sure still locked. Help!

Overview: MacroDroid is a task automation and configuration app that focuses heavily on usability with a simple, attractive UI and logical step by step process.

A few examples of what MacroDroid can automate:

Shake the device to upload the last photo to Facebook.

This is an app that completely remove ads inside apps and provide following functions which is better than AdBlock:

1. Totally remove the advertisement. You can notice that AdBlock and AdAway only stops showing the ad content, but it can not remove the empty field that was originally taken by the ad. MinMinGuard can totally remove the empty field!

2. Lightweight. Alternative ad removing apps (AdBlock etc) constantly run a background VPN service, which puts a heavy loading on the system. MinMinGuard does not need to run a VPN service, so it saves system resources and, thus, extends the battery life.

This is good news. At long last Google is phasing out support for Flash from its highly popular Google Chrome Browser. By the end of the year, the security-vulnerability prone Flash will be replaced as the default media plugin in Chrome by the much safer use of HTML 5.

Although it will no longer be the default media plugin it will for the time being, be still included with the browser but its use will be limited by default to 10 Flash intensive sites: YouTube.com, Facebook.com, Yahoo.com, VK.com, Live.com, Yandex.ru, OK.ru, Twitch.tv, Amazon.com and Mail.ru. can't add loyalty cards

so Android Pay finally launches in the UK and by **** bank RBS doesn't support it yet.
i thought, oh well, i can still use it for loyalty cards etc.

but apparently not?
i don't get the option to add any loyalty cards, just a bank card.

can you not add these until a bank card has been added first?
hitting the "plus" circle button bottom left takes me straight to adding credit/debit card.

S6 image counter in image viewer ???

so for the longest time, I had no problem with the voice transcription on my phone which is HTC One M8. then my phone unintentionally installed Google Now, which I subsequently uninstalled. Now, the voice recognition is horrible, it literally understands nothing I say. what happened? Anybody experienced this? Is there a fix or updates for Android/google voice recognition?

Unable to access device storage

Symptom 1
Tablet no longer allows access via Windows.
When I attach the tablet to my Windows 10 PC via USB the system no longer recognizes the tablet.

Symptom 2
Android My Files app no longer works
When attempting to browse files using My Files (previously have been able to do things like see what files were in which folders, rename files, move files to other folders etc), app starts but never displays folders or files, just displays the animated loading whirly.

Symptom 2
Other apps that should be able to find files in the local storage display similar behavior... One Drive, or trying to attach files to email.

Symptom 3
I downloaded an MP4 from thei nternet (legally) for viewing whennot connected to the network. By default the file should end up in the Downloads file (though obviously I canmot confirm that this file ended up there this time). Notification area displayed a mesage that the download completed. Normally the video app, when started, scans the local storage and adds any new videos to the display. One video, located in the downloads folder, does show up in the app. The video newly downloaded, however, does not show up. By this I conclude that the video app is unable to rescan local storage.

Additional data

I have made no modifications to the Android system.
No new apps have been installed recently.
A number of months ago I had a memory issue where files deleted from local storage did not increase the available space. I eventually resolved this issue by doing a factory reset.

I am resigned to doing another factory reset if there is no other solution, but would prefer to fix, as I cannot determine exactly which files I would need to find from sources or from my PC (everything stored on the tablet was loaded from the PC or downloaded from legal sources that I would have to track down - not a deal breaker, but a pain to have to remember and find it all).

I also know that it is about time to replace this tablet, as I have had it for about five years. On top of everything else I cracked the screen last month. But that requires spending money I don't have at the moment.

All that said, I would appreciate any tips toward making things right.

OUYA BT controller with Minecraft VR - Not quite working.

For some reason, finding a BT Android game controller at a brick and mortar store is near impossible.

I found a OUYA refurb at Gamestop and paired it to my S7 to play Minecraft VR.

You can map buttons in the Minecraft, however, the left analog stick just causes you to turn in circles. I can't seem to find anyway to stop it except to hold the left stick to the right the entire time.

Has anyone successfully played Micecraft VR with a controller on an S7? (I have a sneaking suspicion that Marshmellow BT may be to blame).

Another rapidly draining G4 battery

I'm using an AT & T "refurbished" G4 sent to me as a warranty replacement for my 2 month old new G4. The battery drains in an absurdly brief amount of time (its at 53% now and plummeting after being at 100% 2 hours ago) without any major apps running. Brief Google maps use, no video watching, no emailing, no texting, no games. Its very frustrating as everyone here understands and any advice would be appreciated. I've thought to purchase a 2nd battery but if there's a problem with the phone itself that would only be a partial solution. Is G4 battery life that notoriously poor? Many thanks.

Samsung Music Blurry Thumbnails

I have Galaxy S7 Edge and I use Samsung Music Player on it.

I made custom album images for my albums and they work well. Only the artwork is very blurry, despite my original images being 600x600 to 1500x1500 pixels in size. I followed instructions on a very old post about replacing the thumbnails in a media folder on the phone, but it didn't work... After connecting the phone back to my PC again, I saw that all the thumbnails had been "reset" to the ugly versions that the phone apparently creates all by itself.

Anything I can do?

Do you think Samsung will release N to AT&T before the end of the year?
I sold my S6 recently and it just received the Marshmallow update from AT&T.

And there isn't an Unlocked version being sold, right?

Would like to use UDP in mifi or LTE router. Suggestions please.

Hi all,

I have 3 UDPs on our plan and would like to use one of them in a mifi or 4G LTE router so I can have internet at home without using the phone. I do pay the $30 hotspot fee for each and have talked to Verizon about transferring one of the lines to a new mifi I would purchase from them then add a dumb phone line for my husband. One rep said it could be done but the rest said I can't do it because the line is meant for a phone.

I have read here that people have swapped their sim into a mifi or router without going through Verizon but then I would need to forward the # to a prepaid yes? Could I then cancel the $30 hotspot on that line?

Basically I am trying to find the cheapest way to do this as we all work different schedules so would like constant wifi available for our devices. Our bill is $400 a month for 4 lines and only one is not UDP. Data usage is about 200 GB per month. We have no DSL or cable internet available.

If anyone has any other suggestions or best way to do this please post! Thanks!

Hi, i recently purchase a phone with a Adroid 5.1 lollipop, my phone is not a usual brand is as Oukitel K10000, very good device. What happen to me was that, i allow a friend to use it by introducing is SIM card, once the SIM card in the phone he couldn't do what was expected to so i got it back. Wen i introduce my SIM card i couldn't use de phone because the ANTI THEFT system was activated (that was made a few weeks before by me). The questions that the moment i activated the ANTI THEFT system i did not received any code, and now the phone asked me a code. Can i recover my phone or is it over? Ho... By the way i achieved to make a system factory restart , but always the same situation. Will be very happy if someone can help me...

How do I turn on dock mode on Moto 360 sport?

It worked for 2 days, then suddenly the dock mode was gone. I get the same always on screen that I see on my arm instead of the digital read out with the charging ring. I cannot figure out how it was deactivated, and nothing seems to bring it back on. Any ideas?

Microphone sounds really bad?

You might not believe it, but that sound came from the HTC 10's microphone. At the start I was holding my phone at about "vlogging range" and as I am getting nearer it becomes slightly clearer.

You can hear the microphone comparison against the iPhone 6s. The HTC 10 sounds miles clearer and better.

Is my device defective? I really don't want to send it back. :'(

Hiking zion national park accidentally changed camera mode to pop out. Now beautiful wide angle pics have narrow lense pics superimposed on them. Are these images saved separately somewhere? Can the the narrow image and wide angle image be individualized?

I stream my music through Google Play Music so it's compressed and all of that. Is the audio aspect of the HTC 10 something I should even care about? My gut tells me it won't do much for it, but I can't find much about it.

Hi - i am new to using note 4 phone. when I start videos to play in android phone videos plays. But I am not sure what is the default video player that is used by phone? Could you please let me know the procedure to find that out?

Aslo , I am looking to change the default player to MX player. Pleasele tme know how to do that? Thanks for the help.
