I broke my first gen Droid Turbo about two months ago so I got a replacement from Asurion a week ago. About a week ago my phone turned off even though I had 74% battery life and I plugged it into the Turbo Charger and turned it on and unplugged the micro USB and it would turn off again. I charged it to 100% and it was fine. Everyday the same thing would happen even though my phone wasn't dead. Now when I turn it on when it's at 100% it pops up Starting Android and Analyzing app. Example: 15 out of 105.

Upsizing or upscaling a digital photo means zooming or printing it beyond the level of detail that's actually present in the photo. For example, you might have an image that's 2000 pixels wide, but you want to print it at a sufficiently large size that the paper can accommodate 3000 pixels. Those extra 1000 dots simply don't exist, so your printer or your graphics package has to guess at what they might be. And not every software product is particularly good at guessing.

Equally, you might want to print just a portion of a photo. Perhaps you want to zoom in on that cute dog in the back of the shot and remove all the other bystanders. So although the image is 2000 pixels wide, the section you want to use is only 300 wide. And unless you want the printed image to be the size of a postage stamp, some guessing is going to be required in order to add some additional pixels to the 300.

Reshade is a program that can help here. It's a free download that runs to around 43 MB. The file is malware-free according to VirusTotal and Web of Trust. Once installed, you can load an image into the program, select the area that you want to concentrate on, and then adjust various parameters to improve the sharpness of that section.

In the sample screen shot here, I've been working with an image of myself that was taken on a digital camera in 1997. As you might imagine, the resolution of cameras in those days was not particularly good, but the program seems to be making a remarkable effort of sharpening the image. I will then probably load it into a different program to start improving the colours. Read More

Why won't my s4 boot up

I have completed a factory reset. Both in settings and holding the power button, volume up and action button and selecting from the start up page. I've also rooted and reinstalled firmware. It started up and allowed me to go through the options as if brand new phone but, the battery ran flat and when I turned it back on. It came up with Samsung logo and froze on it. Any help please

why is my samsung giving me out a "new mark" randomly?

Hi,

I have a weard problem with my samsung. Its randomly just giving me a "new mark" screen all the time. Like I would call someone and in the middle of the call, this "new mark" screen will show up. first I thought that its something wrong with my phone, but when I swiched to another phone, I got the same problem.

Then I thought something is wrong with my sim card and I replaced that as well. But the problem did not go away. Its realy frustrating me.

Does anybothy have any idea?

Random "phantom activation" of back button and apps recently used button

Hi, I ordered my phone online from EE site and it was delivered on 4th May this year. About a week ago the two buttons at the bottom on either side of the HOME button (apps recently used and back) are constantly clicking on without me even touching them. I can't even shut down my phone when this happens. It's happening almost every day now. I've switched phone off for prolonged periods (overnight) but when I switch it on and unlock screen it happens again either immediately or within about half an hour. Can I simply return the phone to an EE store either for repair or replacement? I'm in the UK.

I have got the S6 Edge however it is not allowing me to update the software. When i click on 'download updates manually' or 'scheduled software updates' the phone does not take me to the next screen. It is like there are no further options. Previously i have been able to update this way. Can someone please help and advise why this is happening as usually it says the 'software upto date'? It was last updated 1/7/16

Hello, I really hope someone can help.
So I'm using my D855 for two years now and since day one I had 32gb Samsung SD card in it.
Few days ago, out of nowhere I got this:

'Screen shot with different card'

I thought that card is dead, but than I took my wife's card and my phone didn't even read it, at all.
I tried with 4 SD cards so far, with no luck. I was hoping that it is some bug, but than I factory reset my phone, and issue is still there.

So this is what happens:

Few times I got option to format to fix SD but after that it says 'READING SD' and nothing is going on.

I still have my fingers crossed that I do not have to replace my phone.

I'm on stock, with no physical droppings of the device.
So, for se time I actually can access SD card and its folders.

faulty earpiece

ive got a 6 month old nexus 5 x and when someone on the other end talks the earpiece buzzes. it sounds like the earpiece is blown. only time it stops is when the volume is down to 30%. ive tried changing the earpiece with one i got off ebay but its exactly the same. anyone else had this problem? i dont really want to send it back to the company i bought it from (eglobal central) as the reviews of their customer service is terrible

Moving from HTC One M8 to HTC 10 - a few questions

First, I'm on Bell (in Canada) in case that makes any difference.

I love the 10 but sad that it appears the Sense keyboard is discontinued. I loved:
-When you hit backspace after an unwanted autocorrect, it returned the word to what you had originally typed.
-The arrow/cursor keys are gone! Am I missing something? Why are my beloved arrow keys gone?
-Using the Google widget, search results opened in Chrome disappear when you hit back. Why wouldn't they remain in Chrome as any other open page?
-I loved the way Google Photos on the M8 automatically sync'd every photo from the SD card, and I could switch SD cards with no negative effects. My main concern - now that Google Photos IS the gallery app - is what happnes (duplication issues?) when I pull the SD card from the M8 and stick in the 10. What's the best order of operations to move the SD card over?

Any other M8->10 migrants that could share any resources? HTC live chat is very useless.

I've had an issue with my S4 lately where it inexplicably shuts down as if the battery ran out. When it does this, it's low but not anywhere out of juice. I've seen it at 15%, 20% - even 28% battery left and it shut down. I don't think I was doing anything in particular when it happened all those times. Has anyone else ever experiences this? Is it a defect?

Android Auto works great with my 2015 moto x pure and Pioneer 4200NEX most of the time. Occasionally and seemingly at random the screen in the HU will go black and display "to use android auto please stop your car and check your android phone". I have to unplug and plug back in to fix it, but the error will come back. Anyone ideas...it's driving me crazy. It seems to happen only if i am using maps.aa.jpg

Title pretty much says it all. From Samsung pay to contacts to a password lock app I've got a lot on my phone that I don't want on the phone after the data was copied to the new N7. Did the outlet do a factory reset or something to clean all the old dat/files?

S7 edge screen protectors

Anyone who is looking for a nice quality HD screen protector for their s7 edge, look no further. I've started a new thread to alert owners. I've went through 3 HD wet install Zagg brand each one bubbling and peeling up a day or so after install at my local Zagg location (they say wait 24hrs before putting a case on it, and when you do it bubbles up almost immediatley). After that I tried the glass curve from Zagg as well, turned out to be junk as it popped off and wouldn't stick back on 3 hours after install and mind you I didn't even put it in a case yet. I did some online research and found Skinomi brand wet install HD and was advertised as case friendly. Box of 2 for $7.85. Installed it last night about 6pm and put it into my Otterbox Symmetry case about 8 this morning. Can't even tell there is one on my phone and never peeled up like the Zagg that peeled up the instant I put it into a case, Symmetry or Commuter from Otterbox. Very happy so far. Very easy to do, took under 10 mins and watch the video and or read the instructions before install. received_1844840305747043.jpeg

Why can't I disable the Subject line in my texts?

I tried to attach an audio file to a text message that was too large to send. I never did get the message to send, but whatever. However, now every time I select just that ONE contact I tried to send the audio file to, every single message pops up at the top with a subject line (that I NEVER use) with the name of the audio file in it. I go into the drop down and select "Remove Subject" which does remove it, however IT WON'T STAY GONE! Each time I go back into that contact (and ONLY that contact) to send a text, that same subject line with the name of that same audio file keep appearing! I have backed it out, "removed subject" and NOTHING works! I do NOT want to delete the on going conversation with this contact, however am starting to think that may be the only way I'm going to get this to STOP appearing! PLEASE HELP!!!!! Any suggestions would be sincerely appreciated!!!! ~ Thank You!

If you're a user of Microsoft PowerPoint, here's a great add-in which makes it really easy to create timeline slides.

You mean you don't know what a timeline is? It's a line across the slide which represents a period of time. You then put little pieces of text or icons along that line to indicate events that will, might, did, or didn't happen. Timelines are great for project planning, documenting a child's progress, and loads of other things too.

The add-in you need is called Office Timeline, which weighs in at 12 MB. The file is malware-free according to VirusTotal and Web of Trust. You install it just like any other software, after which you'll find an Office Timeline menu available in PowerPoint, and some demo presentations also installed to help you understand how it works.

The Pro version of Office Timeline, at around $50 per year, includes some additional templates, but the free version is still very useful and usable. If you already use PowerPoint, give it a try. Read More
