I've long since admired a program called the gDoc Digital Binder. It's a personal organizer, rather like the filofax paper-based system of old (apologies to anyone who still carries one). Unlike Microsoft's OneNote, Digital Binder actually resembles a ring binder on screen, with pages that you can turn. You can include absolutely any type of information in a binder, including Word documents and PDF files.
My single main criticism of gDoc until now has been its unusual pricing policy. When you download and install the program, you can create one binder with up to 32 tabs. To create more binders, you have to purchase upgrades, and each pack of 10 binders costs almost $40. Imagine what would happen if Microsoft charged for Word by the number of documents you created!
Thankfully, the company has finally seen sense. On November 1st, the new release of the product will still cost $40 but you'll be able to create unlimited binders. At which point, it seems likely that they'll withdraw the free version. So you have until the end of this month to get it. Read More

Got a Pixel XL yesterday. It now tells me it is offline in a part of town where that is very unlikely. Could I have something set wrong? I suppose there could be a problem with Verizon, but also seems unlikely.
Hey guys, I have a verizon galaxy s6 edge plus on 6.0.1 marshmallow. I have been fighting battery the whole time I owned this phone. I recently saw some other Edge +'s getting around 5 hours of SOT when I barely manage 2. do I have a defective phone possibly? Thanks
I've been through two devices since my first S7 Edge broke. With my original device, pictures were not an issue (same location, etc.). With replacement device #1, images taken face down (think, a document or depositing a check) had odd bars or lines of shadows on them that weren't occurring in real life. When I wanted to attach an image from my gallery to facebook messenger, it took a long time for my images to load.
Now, I have replacement device #2 and am having the same problem. Tech Coach has no answers for me. I can't keep spending the time to troubleshoot and backup/reinstall everything again. Do any of you have any ideas?
Have been running the beta version of 7.1.1 and I have to say the results are pretty spectacular. Besides a few tweaks and updates, the operating system has really smoothed out some of the issues I was having with the phone. Thankfully the camera is much much better. Not only is it quicker and more responsive, it doesn't crash anymore.
Google needs to move it out of beta and push it out as a regular update.
Context: I am "upgrading" from a Moto G 3rd edition that is about a year old. It launches apps snappily but sometimes lags during games like Fallout Shelter, Hearthstone, or Madden Mobile.
This week I got a new Moto X Pure. What a great phone, I love everything about it except one thing. It is so. Slow. Opening an app will sometimes take 5-10 seconds, and not even a big or 3D app. I'm talking about things like the CBS Sports app or Facebook messenger. Is this normal? Is there anything I can do to speed it up? Is my phone defective? Like I said, I'm still inside a week with this phone so I'm sure I can send it back for a replacement but I did have to cut down my SIM so I would be without a phone for the duration of the exchange so I wanted to see if there was something I could do to fix it.

It seems the topic of USB connectivity has been beaten to death almost everywhere but I can't find anything that works.
I have a Verizon LG G3 running Android 6.0. Developer Options are ON, USB Debugging activated and USB configuration set to MTP. I have tried multiple USB cables including the cable that was supplied with the phone and multiple USB ports on the computer. I've also tried it with a different computer with the same result.
If I power off and restart the phone and plug in the USB cable the phone vibrates and I get a BRIEF USB notification icon on the left side of the notification bar. After about 1/2 sec. that USB notification icon disappears. After that, plugging in the USB cable has absolutely no effect - no vibration, no icon, no reaction at all.
I'm about at my wits end and have run out of things to try. Any ideas? :confused:
Even if I have the phone and screen open, I don't see whos calling and I cant answer the call. The ringer works letting me know there's a call coming in, but I cant see it or answer it. I've tried to reboot, took the phone to the Verizon store, no one knows why this is happening

Downloads: XposedInstaller_3.1.apk from this thread: Must be installed to manage installed modules, the framework won't work without it. Framework xposed*.zip Must be flashed with a custom recovery (e.g. TWRP) to install the framework. SDK21 is Android 5.0 (Lollipop), SDK22 is Android 5.1 (also Lollipop) and SDK23 is Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). I only support the latest Xposed version! xposed-uninstaller*.zip Can be flashed with a custom recovery (e.g. TWRP) to uninstall the framework.
The small .asc files are GPG signatures of the .zip files. You can verify them against this key (fingerprint: 0DC8 2B3E B1C4 6D48 33B4 C434 E82F 0871 7235 F333). That's actually the master key, the files are signed with subkey 852109AA.
Known issues: - Bootloops on Samsung stock ROMs. That's due to Samsung's changes to ART. There are unofficial builds that work around this by deodexing and adjusting the ROM. - Sony seems to have shipped some ROMs with corrupted services.odex (the embedded .dex is invalid). Those ROMs will bootloop with a "Fatal signal 6" or "No pending exception expected: java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException" error, which I unfortunately cannot fix (see https://github.com/rovo89/Xposed/issues/64) - Dell ships (at least) their Venue 8 7840 with a non-standard version of ART that is somewhere between 5.1 and 6.0 which obviously isn't supported by Xposed (see https://github.com/rovo89/Xposed/issues/77)

(*) In the Xposed logs, it would usually say "XyzResources doesn't extend XResources" in such cases. If you had to select "Disable resource hooks" in Xposed Installer in the past, it's now worth to try again without this workaround. On Huawei devices, Xposed should now work with and without their theming engine enabled.
Next step (planned for the next version): Official systemless Xposed for Marshmallow. I have already started working on that, but I don't have much time and making something robust takes a while. Note that the systemless installation will require SuperSU 2.76 or higher. That might be considered a disadvantage compared to the unofficial versions, however I think that it's the better way. @Chainfire put a lot of effort into developing and testing a solution that works reliably on virtually every device. Whenever new devices and Android versions pop up, he's fast at making SuperSU compatible. I think it totally makes sense to build upon those achievements instead of maintaining a fork of them or even reinventing the wheel, which could in the worst case even cause conflicts. I'll rather spend that time focusing on Xposed development itself, not on dealing with all kinds of different bootloaders etc.

File Access Monitor, from SoftPerfect, is a really handy utility that helps you keep an eye on important files on your computer. Each time a file is created, changed or deleted, the details get logged to a database. It records what type of change was made, and who made it. So if multiple people use your computer, or if you look after a Windows-based server and you're responsible for the security, this is a really useful tool. Just browse the database and search for the file you're interested in, to see what's been happening to it.

Each time a file is created, changed or deleted, the details get logged to a database. It records what type of change was made, and who made it. So if multiple people use your computer, or if you look after a Windows-based server and you're responsible for the security, this is a really useful tool. Sometimes I forget my mobile at work and I need to walk back a long distance to get it. I have a smart watch so I thought perhaps there is an app that checks the distance between the watch and the mobile that i know after 100 meters that I forgot my mobile?
So I went to unlock my phone that had a pattern and it did not recognize it even though I entered it correctly 10 times. It asked for my backup pin and I entered it correctly, again 100% it was not wrong. It kept adding seconds to my log in timer. This has been happening every couple days for the past week. I just restart my phone and the pattern is recognized. Anyway, today I unlocked my phone with my google account and then I went to change my security screen to the same pattern to see if it would stop bothering me every couple days. Then, I noticed that even after I chose my pattern it would revert to swipe, no security. After re doing the pattern a couple of times and still staying at swipe no security (I turned off my phone and there was no pattern even though every time I wanted to switch the security screen it would ask me for the pattern). I switched to pin. That did not work and stayed at swipe no security and as I tried to change it, it asked me for the pin. I entered it and it said sorry, try again. So now I can't change the screen lock. What do I do? My lock screen is unlocked by a swipe even though in the settings for security it says pin. HELP!!!
I dropped my note 4 in the sink. I took it out and since it happened it's been sat in a bowl of rice. It's now charging and showing the battery but won't turn on. This is a massive improvement on how it was....any ideas?
Sudden onset since automatic "update" around 10/30/16. Attachments placed on messages disappear when I hit send. Using Android on Lenovo TAB2A730F with wifi on home Verizon router if that matters. Not large files at all. Doesnt matter whether file came from download, gallery, drive or screenshot. Also tested with a previously saved draft that had photo attachments, and the same thing happens. So it's not about newly attaching files, it's about files going through with the text of the Gmail. Please do not tell me to delete & readd my account. That's not going to happen.
At a glance, the Le S3 doesn't seem at all like a cheaper phone than the Le Pro3. It has nearly the same dimensions as the Le Pro3, the same quality of screen and a similar metal build that lacks the reflective coating of the more expensive phone but actually feels better to me. Of course LeEco cut back on the internals to hit a $249 price point — a slower Snapdragon 652 processor, along with less ram (3GB) and storage (32GB) than the Pro3. The Le S3 also has a lower-quality screen glass that isn't sculpted as nicely on the edges, and is missing other fringe features like NFC.
Despite the shortcomings when compared to the Le Pro3, the Le S3 still offers a compelling set of hardware for $249, much in the same way that the Honor 5X did earlier this year. You're getting solid internals and a much nicer build and design than most of the phones you can pick up in this price range. From that standpoint, the Le S3 is a bit more interesting than the Le Pro3 that has more competition at $399.

I have stated using Chrome. How to get the stored passwords from of Internet Explorer. With the sync settings I have managed to get bookmarks and everything else except stored passwords. Tried searching but mostly all answers end at try a resync. That didn't help either. The snapshot in the settings on the desktop shows numbers in all boxes as to what is saved and in the passwords section shows 0.

LeEco has ambitions that go far beyond phones, which is why the company bought TV maker Vizio earlier this year. The brand started out as a video streaming service and is often dubbed the "Netflix of China" even though it started investing in original programming three years before the launch of Netflix.
LeEco's diverse content portfolio is the main reason for its acquisition of Vizio, as the move gives the Chinese brand a foothold in the U.S. market for its streaming, internet TV, and cloud-based services. The acquisition allows Vizio to expand its global presence by leveraging LeEco's distribution and localised content streaming services.
LeEco isn't just into phones and TVs either. The vendor debuted an autonomous electric car called the LeSEE earlier this year, and has invested in California-based electric car maker Faraday Future. Hi everyone: I'm new here, and new to the Android world. I experimented with a previous Android device (running Kitkat). It was very cool the way it found my google cloud printer (HP Officejet Pro 8610).
If I understand correctly, the google print app is now a part of Marshmallow. I just picked up a Samsung Galaxy Tab A. I *LOVE it. But the print thing is driving me crazy. I go into Settings ->More connection settings->Cloud print on.... but then I get a never-ending spinning circle that says "searching for printers."
if the battery goes totally dead I have to unplug the battery to get it to reboot. If plugged in while on the battery just keeps diminishing, I have already replaced the battery and the charging port cable. that should be the entire power system. thank you for your answers.
Okay so my iPhone broke so I resorted to my Samsung Galaxy A3 (2014). Now when I downloaded all my apps etc I went onto messenger and I took a decent quality photo and sent it on messenger. I could see it in the same quality I took as on my phone.
All of a sudden few hours later whenever I took pictures again even if the quality was good it would go bad again when sent onto messenger I know this is because messenger reduces the size and quality so I wasn't bothered however it didn't stop there.
Any picture on messenger is now pixelated even if it is a phone screenshot it will go funny and makes reading text in screenshots hard etc or zooming in to the photo hard.
My question is why is it doing this? It was fine to start with but now everything seems to have messed up. I've looked around but couldn't find anything concrete. Anyone know a fix or care to shed some light on the issue?

Question: There are issues with my notifications after updating, the text is hard to read. Answer: A reboot will fix this. Sometimes CM13 theme resources gets "stuck" when updating. Like the notification text color in this case. By rebooting you force the system to reload all resources. This is a CM theme engine bug.
Question: Play Store is not dark after updating. Answer: This is due to Play Store having trouble picking up the dark CM theme resources after an update. A reboot will fix this.
Question: Can you include Telegram? Answer: No. Telegram colors are all set in the java code, which means they are hardcoded and can't be changed.
Question: Will you add support for the CM14 theme engine? Answer: Yes. I will add support for the CM14 theme engine as soon as it's released and implemented. There is obviously no time frame as of now.
Important notice about ROM support
This dark CM theme fully supports CyanogenMod and COS12.1 / COS13 ( Cyanogen OS ) which is natively installed on YU Yureka & Yutopia together with Zuk Z1 and OnePlus One. Custom ROMs with the CyanogenMod theme engine included, for exemple Dirty Unicorns, Paranoid Android ( PA ) and Resurrection Remix, are supported but there might be issues as I can't keep track of all commits everywhere.

Without a doubt, the Pixel and Pixel XL is a well designed and manufactured device. Made by Google, (with the tremendous help from HTC) the Pixel isn't the best looking device, but it has certainly grown on some. Is it safe to say that this is the signature Pixel look for the next few years?
Would you say its likely that Google would only implement minor, if any, changes to the look next year? Just as the iPhone has a distinctive look that has remained, I think that Google wants a Pixel to be recognizable without turning it on. IMO, the glass back near the top is here for a while and the bevels will remain.

I see that on the newer Android versions there is an option to remove the PIN requirement to decrypt a device and only enter the PIN to unlock the screen when encryption is in place (thereby allowing remote connection via an MDM tool). I took my phone to Metro PCS outlet from where I purchased and asked an employee to help or show me how to organize my pictures of various sorts and place them on my SD card. Three are now in Gallery under two names, several under My Files in the SD card, with others (some duplicates under "Drive" (whether in internal memory or SC card, I do not know).
Is there not a simple way to rearrange all of these files (pics) on my SC under different sub titles like folders on the hard drive of a PC?

Hey all, still enjoying my Pixel but I have a couple of questions that I'm hoping you know the answers to:
1. Is there a way to sort the default "photos" app in such a way that the default text messaging app does not simply show -every single photo- your phone and Drive account have? I have several albums made but when I go to attach something I just get a mass of every photo available.
2. Is there a way to change the default "swipe" behavior on messaging from archiving to deleting? I don't want to archive my text messages, I just want to delete them. I'd like to be able to do so without having to long-hold and then select the trash can icon.
I am LG G5 running: 6.0.1. I had issues with this on vacation in another country. I would keep airplane mode on to avoid any sort of background roaming fees that may occur. However, I still needed wifi at our accomadation so I could use the internet for planning. While in airplane mode certain wifi networks would not appear while in airplane mode. I could see other wifi networks while in airplane mode, but not the accomadation's wifi in airplane mode. I have an apple iPhone 4 I use for music still and I could see the wifi network while in airplane mode. Eventually for no reason the network became visible for connection and I was able to connect to wifi in airplane mode. However, it would occassionally dissappear again.
(Wifi was turned on, phone reset, factory reset performed, issue replicated on two different androids LG G5 and Nexus 5).
Does anyone know why Android 6.0.1 is unable to locate and connect to certain wifi networks while in airplane mode?

Hi I have very weird problem, when I connect to PC via USB I get two partitions Internal storage (or adopted depending which one is primary) and external storage, when I open external storage there is nothing not even the folders but when open internal storage there is a files from external partition and internal merged there is folder from internal and external memory, also there is folder called 'storage' with sub-folder 'emulated' with sub-folder '0' I don't get it what gone wrong? One more thing when I paste something in internal partition it goes there the same happens with external partition? I tried clearing cache, clearing data and cache for Media storage an External storage, please help!
I keep getting the green robot which is on his back with a triangle and ! in the center. After looking at the error message it is showing error in cache, status 7.
